Sounds like what I've noticed with my bike, mounted on a trainer. I never noticed it with my wheel attached and riding outside, but it's really obvious now.

Thought my chain was fine based on a couple checks I did but maybe didn't know everything to look for. That sounds awfully like what I'm hearing so I'll check it again tomorrow keeping an eye on the derailleur tension.

The sound level with the new chain would appear to be the same HOWEVER I do notice the vibration has disappeared. Thanks.

Seems the suggestion would be to either replace the old one with a new one or clean the old chain and re-lube it.

Are there any tips for adjusting the gears on the trainer. The resistance of the kickr makes it very difficult to spin the pedals by hand on order to make fine adjustments.

On Zwift or the Wahoo app the power level (flywheel resistance) can be set to some very low number, then it's easy to spin

I bought a kickr and a second hand bike with an old 9 speed 105. The bike works fine in the road. However after installing it on the kickr with a new cassette the bike vibrates on high loads and makes a vibrating noise. I can feel the vibrations in my legs. The gears change fine. Could it be the chain?

Chain is likely to be stretched past the service limit. However, sprocket and chainring teeth also wear (soft aluminium) as the (hard steel) chain stretches, so a new chain will not perfectly fit the imperfect teeth. All this means that eventually the whole drivetrain needs replacement.

Same here but i installed a 7 gear and had to add different spacers to be able to fit. i feel very strong vibration on the 2 last sprrokets. everything is new, but perhaps is just the quality as it is a Tourney groupset. I-ve read that is normal some vibration at high gears , called chordal action.

This helps me tremendously. I thought the noise was from misalignment.
