Well for wall banging/claw attack enraging sure but I think its fair enough to be able to tenderize since in base game Weakness exploit gave 50% and now with Iceborne it's 30% unless you tenderize.

I actually hunted all the AT elders alone before moving into Iceborne (Including AT Kulve Taroth... I don't recommend it.) I remember being very frustrated with Xeno & Vaal specifically, but watching you do this almost makes me want to experience that again. Also, I recommend bringing Nullify Wind Pressure and maybe a Farcaster whenever hunting Lunastra. Makes it go more smoothly.

I feel like when i run these arch tempereds again on PC, the two Steadfast gems that i have practically super glued to my equipment is whats gonna really make my runs. The amount of times ive taken a hit that wouldve DEFINITELY stunned me into a follow up attack that carts me is SUPER high since i have chimp brain that says "switch axe go brrrr"

The goopy swaxe/greatsword goblin brain says the only response to attacks with serious wind up telegraphing that it's going to kill you, is to counter it with my own super telegraphed high damage attack, fully powered with a "that will shrimply not hit me" grindset

Yeah, of all the base game ATs, Lunastra is definitely the hardest. She's got a bunch of wind pressure added to her attacks, increase damage AoE from fires, and the other elder that shows up is Teo (Kushala and Nergigante usually appear for other AT hunts, if any elders). The others aren't too bad, Nergi and Teo probably being the easiest of the AT, ironically.

Yeah, but the skill Weakness Exploit was changed to only achieve its full original effect with Tenderizing too. That's why I didn't actually say anything about using ONLY base-game rules, just the part about decos on the mantles lol I did avoid using wallbangs, however. But the tenderizing thing is murky because of how Weakness Exploit was messed with after Iceborne released.
