With all due respect Kevin, how is desperately trying to homogenize the scalp as a last resort, so that the horseshoe stays hidden, actually "accepting" one's hairloss? That's literally the inverse version of the person who's hiding his balding by combing his hair over the bald spots, the difference being that in this inverse version one is trying to bring down the level of the remaining hair to the level of the bald spots, so as to give the illusion of uniformity and thereby make the hairloss less noticeable. Doesn't true acceptance lay in giving so little fucks about your hair that you wouldn't even exert the effort to go out and buy an electric razor, and thereby let your hair grow as is ? IMO the men letting their horseshoe grow and not giving a fuck about it are the gutsy ones.

@@vhyles Hey, believe me the bald look isn't for me either. I just find it heartwarming to see someone who is happy about his newfound identity. I want bald men to feel happy and accepted.
@vhyles7 ай бұрын
@Cresimi "Working with it" already implies effort, i.e. going out of your way to buy a razor and taking 5-10 min each day or each 3rd day to make sure the top is uniform. Now compare that to Prince Harry who couldn't care less about it, or other people's opinions. Which is closer to actually accepting it? Shouldn't acceptance imply the path of least resistance after all? Shaving it off is simple grooming and there's nothing wrong with trying to look better, that being said it is on the very end of the spectrum as far as acceptance is concerned. Just my opinion based on _personal_ experience.

Whoever shaved their heads and got on with it have my respect, for me I'm in the Norwood 3 category, I hide it well but it's a struggle to hide my bald spots on my temples most of the time whilst using a long comb over sort of style to give me a straight hairline illusion. I have a big head sadly, it's been an insecurity even before my balding chapter hence why I never even had a shape up, been bald when I wanted to try when I was a kid etc. Ive dealt with BDD all my life, having long hair has been the only thing to make such a huge difference to my level of confidence. Had short hair throughout most my 20s due to the early slow development from MPB but was never happy because it wasn't me. My dream is to finally work towards my goals towards my appearance, so sadly being bald is not an option for me in my early life.

I lived in Güd Korea for years, it was extremely rare to see young koreans going bald. Asian definitely don't go bald as much as Caucasians and that's a fact. So it's unusual to see a young asian men completely bald. That being said, i think this gentleman looks good bald 👍 . However, i just love Asian hair, i mean they do have great hair so yeah.. If i was him i would definitely have gotten on finasteride / minoxidil right away to keep that great Asian hair ! But to each their own i guess. Choices are choices and he looks happy so there you go 😊. This channel is okay but the fear mongering BaldCafe does on hairloss medicines is actually ridiculous (sounds like propaganda to scare people away from those meds). Hairloss is about choices (keep your hair or not). But the fear mongering on meds is definitely getting on my nerve !

Pick out literally one piece of fear mongering I’ve done on this channel. Tell me which video and the time stamp please.
@Baldcafe7 ай бұрын
Ok I can’t be arsed to wait for your reply so here’s my inevitable response. There isn’t one piece of fear mongering. You are just assuming that promoting the acceptance of going bald is fear mongering. I don’t ever need to slander the use of meds to show the benefits of just going bald. This channel exists because of the medicalisation of baldness that is now seen as so normal. It exists because for those who don’t want to go a life time on medication and surgery just to avoid the discomfort of fully confronting their hair loss there isn’t enough support and normalization of that route. Just because you decide you don’t want to use meds etc doesn’t suddenly make accepting going bald easy. Hence I started this channel. The fear mongering of going and being bald is actually the real problem here. If you wana take meds etc just do it and crack on there is apparently no need for you to ever consume hair loss content again right? You’ve solved the problem. The real problem with balding is the anxiety/appearance anxiety it causes. You can deal with it by trying to change your appearance (aka using products to conceal the balding) or you can learn to go bald and accept it. I might be missing a few points but I’m not trying to write a damn Ted talk. Final point is on this channel I’ve shared MY own personal reasons for not wanting to subscribe to a lifetime of trying to keep the balding at bay through meds and surgery and that is it. And the guys in my vids literally just share their reasons for also moving on from or not wanting to take hair loss medication for the rest of their life. Peace out ✌️

@Baldcafe Since you are asking : " finasteride, 5 reasons why I will never take finasteride/propecia " (the whole video is full of shit and fear mongering/ literally completely false informations). And that's just a video among others.

@@Baldcafe" there isn't one piece of fear mongering " ---> you lied. And that's the thing with your channel, it's a business. Which is fine, don't get me wrong, we all make money one way or another. But please don't pretend you are not completely biased about hairloss and that the more people go bald, the better for you. That's all I'm saying. Then again it's all a matter of choices and if people want to go bald, so be it. No problem with that. What bother me is that you basically lie to get what you want . I mean you either lie or you are completely misinformed about hair meds etc... Please inform people in a fair way with all the informations they need. Not just " finasteride is gonna shrink your penis, it's the most important hormone to reproduce bla bla bla " . That's ridiculous. Study a bit about the topic and read the data you will be surprised to learn that DHT is only useful during your teenage years when sex development is concerned. But not in adulthood (that's why you shouldn't start finasteride before you are 18 years old basically). You are just very misinformed (which again is completely fine) we all need to learn at some point. But the problem is the fact that you actually make videos with lots of false informations .

@@exactly1176this channel is really about becoming comfortable with yourself no matter what. Whether someone decides to accept being bald, or fight balding by trying to cover it up or take medications is their choice. In my personal opinion, I think people are better off accepting balding. IT’S OKAY TO BE BALD. Society tries to shame bald men and push expensive treatments as if balding is a defect that needs to be fixed to live a happy life. I’d rather see people that are happy and accepting of themselves being bald rather than people with insecurities who are constantly wasting time and money on treatments instead of trying to enjoy their life.
