It would be fascinating to see them branch out even more by making medical gauze and wraps from this stuff since so much is used in hospitals. Or even masks at this rate.
@PBMS123
@PBMS123 2 жыл бұрын
Medical gauze is already made out of cotton, and NADs are coated in a very specific type of plastic so that they remain absorbent but do not stick to a wound. And medical waste has to be incinerated fully anyway.

Almost cried watching this. Im sure theres a lot of potential flaws, but this sounds like it could be revolutionary. Its especially interesting seeing so many men on board and comfortable talking about this and doing so much to help women. So many men just get grossed out and refuse to even think about periods. Periods need to stop being seen as a form of revolting punishment or curse! Its a part of life. Hopefully this is an effective solution thatll help women, especially women in rural areas. We take for granted how easily we have access to these items in our own lives.

Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20 Revelation 6 1st Seal: White horse = Roman Empire conquering nations under Trajan 98-117 AD & Gospel spreading rapidly. 2nd Seal: Red horse, bloody civil wars with 32 different Emperors, most killed by the sword. 185-284 AD 3rd Seal: Black horse, economic despair from high taxes to pay for wars, farmers stopped growing. 200-250 AD 4th Seal: Pale horse, 1/4th of Romans died from famine, pestilence; at one point 5,000 dying per day. 250-300 AD 5th Seal: Diocletian persecuted Smyrna church era saints for ten years, blood crying out for vengeance. 303-312 AD 6th Seal: Political upheaval in the declining Roman Empire while the leaders battled each other. 313-395 AD Revelation 7 Sealing of 144,000, the saints, before trumpet war judgments, which led to the fall of the Roman Empire. Revelation 8 1st Trumpet: Alaric and the Goths attacked from the north, the path of hail, and set it on fire. 400-410 AD 2nd Trumpet: Genseric and the Vandals attacked the seas and coastlands, the blood of sailors in water. 425-470 AD 3rd Trumpet: Attila and the Huns scourged the Danube, Rhine & Po rivers area, dead bodies made water bitter. 451 AD 4th Trumpet: Odoacer and the Heruli caused the last Western Emperor (sun), Senate (moon) to lose power. 476 AD With the Western Roman Emperor (restrainer of 2 Thes. 2) removed; the son of perdition Popes took power. Revelation 9 Two woe judgments against the central 1/3rd and eastern 1/3rd of the Roman Empire. 612-1453 AD 5th Trumpet: Locust & scorpions point to Arabia, the rise of the Muslim army. Islam hides Gospel from Arabs. 612-762 AD 6th Trumpet: Turks released to attack Constantinople with large cannons (fire, smoke, brimstone). 1062-1453 AD Revelation 10 The little book is the printed Bible, which was needed after the Dark Ages when Scriptures were banned by Popes. Revelation 11 7th Trumpet: Martin Luther measured Roman Church; found that it’s an apostate church, not part of true temple. The two witnesses are the Scriptures and saints who proclaim the pure Gospel and testify against the antichrist Popes. Papal Church pronounced Christendom dead in 1514 AD. Silence for 3.5 years. Then Luther posted his 95 Thesis, which sparked the Protestant Reformation and brought the witnesses back to life. Millions of Catholics were saved. Revelation 12 Satan used the Roman Empire to try to wipe out the early Church, Satan was cast down as the Empire collapsed. Revelation 13 The antichrist beast Popes reigned in power 1,260 years, 538-1798, is the little horn of Daniel 7, son of perdition. The false prophet Jesuit Superior General rose to power from land (earth) of Vatican and has created many deceptions. Revelation 14 Points to great harvest during the Protestant Reformation & wrath on Catholic countries who obey antichrist Pope. Revelation 15 Overcoming saints victorious over the beast. Prelude to 7 vials and judgment on those who support Papal Rome. Revelation 16 1st Vial: The foul sore of atheism was poured out on Catholic France, leaving them with no hope, led to revolution. 2nd Vial: The French Revolution started in 1793, killed 250,000, as France had obeyed the Pope and killed saints. 3rd Vial: The French Revolution spread to rural areas of France, where Protestants had been killed in river areas. 4th Vial: The bloody Napoleonic wars shed the blood of countries who had revered and obeyed the antichrist Pope. 5th Vial: Judgment on the seat of the beast. Papal States invaded in 1798, Pope imprisoned, removed from power. 6th Vial: The Turks vast domain dried up, they were only left with Turkey. They lost control of Palestine in 1917 AD, Israel became a nation again in 1948

@@N4DA3 Why wouldn't it be safe? I mean people wash and dry and then re-wear underwear don't they? And the same goes for cloth diapers for babies, and those diapers have poop in them. Worked for centuries when all people had was cloth for diapers. So long as everything is washed thoroughly, sanitized, and dried thoroughly, there shouldn't be a problem.
@SY-ok2dq

@@dickydarmawan6960 It's perfectly safe! I don't know why you would think it's unsafe. So long as the pads are changed very frequently and then properly washed and dried, there's absolutely no safety risk nor would there be any smell. In fact, there's naturally going to be a bit of odor from blood flow. As soon as it comes out, it does have an odor. The only thing that can be done is to change pads frequently, to minimize odor. But it's not at all a safety problem. And on heavy flow days, there's going to be more odor than at the end of a period when the flow is very light and tapering off. It has nothing to do with what kind of pad is being used. Tampons, which are not reusable, are going to be more effective in reducing odor. However, there's more of a safety risk with using tampons, because it's placed inside the body and could provide an environment for harmful bacteria to grow rapidly, as it's warmer and more moist inside the body. That's why it's very important to change tampons within a certain number of hours, and to use the appropriate size for the level of blood flow. It's not a large risk in general, and millions of women use tampons without ever experiencing a problem. Nevertheless, toxic shock syndrome is a much greater risk for tampon users than pad users.

most genuine natural fibres will be gone in 6 months if buried in a moist environment. I grow some sugarcane in my home garden, which has pretty tough stems & leaves, but I use it as raised garden top up soil when I harvest my root vegetables & it only takes about 2 months before the soil level drops again becasue the sugarcane has totally decomposed in the garden. If I dig it up at that point there's a small amount left, 6 months later, there's nothing left, no sign it was ever there. No idea exactly at what point it's totally gone, I don't dig it up regularly to check, 2 & 6 months is just when I've dug in the garden for other reasons expecting to hit the pile of pure sugarcane stems & leaves & found nothing, so I would expect banana fibre to be the same if nothing else is added to it

5th Vial: Judgment on the seat of the beast. well I guess you've got this one now & it's a pretty good one, but I would look at bio-char & the impact of getting carbon into the world's soils if you want something different to this story. You could use onion skins for that & banana stems & the rice stubble that causes all the pollution in Delhi & everything else. In charcoal form it's stable for 1000 years & locked out of the atmosphere & helping retain fertiliser & other chemicals to stop pollution. Trees hold small amounts of carbon while they're alive, but retaining that carbon in charcoal form makes it permanent & actually useful (which trees sadly are really not)

Great product and really noble intentions but it doesn't solve the one problem why people are not unable to switch away from plastic or regular pads - the price of eco friendly alternatives such as this(cost of 1unit -Rs 30) is 6 times higher than normal plastic based pads(Rs 5), hence this product doesn't solve the problem of accessibility at all... bringing down the cost of such biodegradable alternatives would be True Ingenuity, especially given that there are a lot of other brands providing similar plant based products( just look up Amazon - not going to argue over which is better or what came first) ... What's sad is the video talks in length about accessibility issues and horrors of plastic pads but misses out on one of the most crucial aspect about menstrual products - the price. But really Kudos to the team of Saathi, for giving back to the society through their CSR activities!

@@tadpolefart7451 If they don't patent their technology, more companies can begin producing these pads. What is more important, this one company growing, or more pads being produced in various other parts of India, giving more employment opportunities and waste reduction processes? You should not patent something which is crucial for human life. Period products are not profit, they are for survival.

Wow. This is a Win/Win situation all around. No losers except the plastic manufacturing industry! What a fantastic idea and initiative. The fact that so many young Indian women and girls work in modern jobs and earn their own money will help drive Saathi's business because they are more exposed to western ideas and products. Donating pads to poorer villages is a wonderful program and hopefully this will help those women improve their menstrual health and hygiene.

I looked it up and the 30 pack is 757 rupees, which is about ten dollars. So not only are these being produced by hand and making a difference, but for the same price the mass produced product is being sold. I paid 8$ for 24 or 36 plastic ones not long ago.

um that's not how finances work lol you can't compare what it costs in your country with what it costs in another country! First result "In 2018, India declared tampons and sanitary napkins tax-free, but most sanitary pads cost between 5 to 12 rupees (8 cents to 20 cents) per pad, which is a luxury for the nearly 800 million people who live on less than $1.90 a day" so 30 of the pads you are using in India cost 150 to 360 rupees NOT 757! These pads are 7 times more expensive than disposable plastic ones are in India

@@mehere8038 Who tf said, it's luxury for 800M ppl here lol...Do u even realise that u saying it's luxury for 80% of indian population..which is completely wrong. R u in ur right senses before saying that..🤦🏻‍♀️ & Let me tell..today more than 80% of population can afford those plastic pads that cost b/w 5 to 12 INR. PS:- 6pads costs b/w ₹32-40 here in India.

@@trusfratedbunny2215 who said it was a luxury was the source I quoted & so you're agreeing with that site I quoted (although giving a bit lower price starting point), but around 8 cents each for regular ones, v 30 cents each for these eco-ones, so NOT the same price as the plastic ones, like the OP said is it! You can buy 6 plastic ones for the price of 1 of the ones in this video

@@mehere8038 Well, the figures u gave that 800M ppl here in india..can't afford pads of price ₹5-12/each were very wrong or completely incorrect. PS:- Yeah, these Biodegradable pads r expensive for pretty lower income ppl (although, Half of Population can still afford it) & high price than plastic ones..But if they mass produce it like those big MNCs then it's cost will go down more.

The only process I found bit less efficient is the UV sanitization was done on the final assembled pad and not on individual layer restricting deep penetration. Allowing deep penetration of UV through each layer will give better hygiene index

Appreciated work. It is fantastic. I would like to draw your attention to a couple of things in your daily work. You must follow the safe handling procedures. I have seen the people working on cutting machines doesn't have any safety gear which is lethal to the machine operator and co-workers. The woman handled the UV cabinet in an inappropriate way which was extremely dangerous. The UV lamp must be off during the handling and it should function only in the proper safe zone. The person handling UV must wear protective equipment. The most important thing about the director's speech. She mentioned the use of pads as long as 5-6 hrs. Please DO NOT recommend that. A sanitary pad must recommend not more than 3hrs because a menstrual fluid is an ideal medium for bacterial growth. An ideal body temperature and the 3 hrs time is an ideal environment to promote the growth of bacteria and viruses. So, please do not recommend the use of pads for more than 3 hrs.
