Saying just 5% makes it sound like a smaller portion. It’s still a 5% quota reservation for on 0.13 of the population. It’s still a large percentage. Also the law was passed with loophole that give the government multiple back doors to abolish this whenever the time is right.

I'm from Bangladesh. All internet services was closed off for 5 days to try to curb the protest and sweep all regime backed crimes under the carpets. We only got internet back today. Government and police murdered innocent people mercilessly. Children were shot dead inside their homes from helicopters, unarmed civilians were shot dead from point blank range, they fired at the students from outside the closed gates of universities, they murdered journalists covering the news, they killed innocent protesters by driving police cars in crowds. We have no idea how many people were actually killed. But the number has to be around 500 with hundreds others missing. Hasina is a ruthless cold-blooded murderous dictator.

We finally got WiFi back even tho the connection is very poor. There was a complete internet shutdown since 18th July and a whole genocide went on since then. 1000+ students have been killed and uncountable amount injured. Now they're arresting many students who were involved in the protest from their houses with false charges. we're not safe 💔🇧🇩

I am a student from Bangladesh, you may not be able to see anything from outside, but they are torturing us in such a way, they are shooting at our students and killing thousands of our students. Our fathers and grandfathers fought and made us independent and this tragic situation is happening to us. Our situation is going very badly.
