Mujibur Rahman the so called father of nation actually was the first autocratic leader in Bangladesh who shut down all news papers, abolished all opposition parties and generated a reign of fear among citizens. His daughter Hasina also followed father's footstep and rulled the country for over 16 years without election and politicized every institutions of the state to serve only her purposes. Accumulated anger for long years in general people erupted on July 2024 and she fleed the country after a violent crackdown of the protesters leaving thousands killed and many severely injured. After fleeing from Bangladesh Hasina is now trying to destabilise the nation using propaganda by her loyal thugs appointed illegitimately on different positions.

Ok I didn’t realize his father is the person who assassinated the founder of the country, father of Sheikh Hasina. After reading the reasons that led his father to assassinate the founder, I realize he had no ill intentions but to establish justice. Col. Farouk would have attempted to assassinate Sheikh Mujib earlier if not for his colleague stoping him. Basically a man named Muzammel and his goons attacked a newlywed in a taxi and killed the husband and the driver. They proceeded to abduct the bride and r*ped, killed and dumped her body. Col. Farouk was given the task to investigate this in Tongi and he arrested Muzammel after interrogating the goons. Muzammel offered Col. Farouk 300k taka ( a hefty some in 1970s money) to let him go but when the Col. Refused he challenged that sheikh Mujib would come and release him and there’s nothing he could do then and the money offer wouldn’t stand till next morning. The next morning when Col. Farouk returned he found the cell empty and his colleagues did say sheikh Mujib did indeed come to release him. That’s the day he decided he would assassinate the president. Muzammel was MP of liberation war during sheikh Hasina rule. Irony is he was one of the collaborators against the liberation of Bangladeshi people.

All those who talk of murder, first try to comprehend and have a better understanding of your own history. What about all the enforced disappearances, murders of political opponents and innocent civilian during Hasina’s over 15 years autocratic rule. That is in addition to all the similar wrongdoings by Sheikh Mujib after the 1971 liberation war up until trying to establish the one party BAKSHAL. Does the murder of innocent everyday people not equate or matter? Or is it just that Mujib and family are somehow special and can get away with all the looting, murdering and plunder of the country he was tasked with looking after. Karma and justice have a way of getting back. “The two most powerful warriors are patience and time” Leo Tolstoy

Quick facts. Bangladesh 🇧🇩 economically carried half of Mughal Hind on its back. The Nawabs of Bengal 🇧🇩 were basically bankrolling the Mughal Emperors in Delhi until the late 1670's, when the British arrived. The Mughals produced ~1/4 of the world's GDP at its Zenith & around ~1/2 of that was coming from Dhaka Subah 🇧🇩, which was economically akin to the _Mumbai of the Moghuls._ If you have learned math, physics or any subject from Khan Academy, know that Sal Khan is a Bengali. The first non-European Nobel Prize winner who wrote the national anthems of India and Bangladesh was Tagore, a Bengali. The class of quantum particles that obey Bose statistics, *the Boson,* was named after Satyendra Nath Bose, a Bengali. Khan Bahadur Qazi Azizul Haque, Bengali mathematician & co-inventor of the fingerprint technology police still use to tell fingerprints apart. Atisa Dipankara Shrijnana, one of the major figures in the spread of 11th-century Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism in Asia and inspired Buddhist thought from Tibet to Sumatra, was a Bengali. Bengal has been near the heart of many of the largest empires in the Indian subcontinent including Ashoka's Mauryan Empire (325 - 185 BCE), the Gupta Empire (240 - 550 CE), and the Bengali Gopala would later found the Pala Empire (750 - 1161 CE), followed by Shamsuddin Elyas Shah & the Bengal Sultanate (1352 - 1576 CE).

It's always "secularism good because Turkey". They never seem to want to mention the outcome of the tyranny of secularism in Bangladesh.

Exactly. Bangladesh holds a pivotal, strategic position, both commercially and militarily. It's an untapped powerhouse that has been grossly underestimated. I was genuinely intrigued when the Indians mentioned an identity crisis as if they overlooked the latent potential we're sitting on.
@Mira-pm3niАй бұрын
You have definitely potential . Your economy was ahead of India . Hope you don't turn out like Pakistan . Identity crisis is real among South Asian Muslims . Look he is an educated Muslim but his history and heritage starts from Mughal Empire . He himself talked about how African American have suffered because they aren't connected to their identity and roots . How distant are they . Then immediately tells about his heritage which started from 1400 years ago . What about the history before 7th century ?
