I am a 15-year-old paraplegic I have been a paraplegic for about a year due to cancer that moved from my brain to my spine. It was a drastic change in my life, and I felt like I was lonely and there was no one like me. but watching this video was really inspiring to me, and I was hoping maybe you or someone in the comments could reach out to me about any teenage support groups in the Dallas Texas or Forth Worth Texas area.

Love your attitude! What an amazing and strong young lady you are! I have badly herniated discs in my neck and lower back and the pain can be incredible. But like you, my attitude is that I will do what I can while I can! So I am walking as much as possible and like you say, life continues. It doesn’t stop because you are in pain or can’t walk. I truly admire you, I am almost 63, have early onset Alzheimer’s and refuse to give up! I am GOING to enjoy what I can while I can!

Some people just have amazing spirits. Incredible young lady. I know exactly how I would've reacted. I would've layed in bed for years. I was injured in a car accident and couldn't work for several years, and I just stayed in bed when not at a doctor. Eventually I got well enough to work with meds and special equipment. I don't have this girl's positive attitude and energy. Attitude is everything.

Your attitude is amazing as well: You are able to appreciate someone else’s strength even if that is something you would like to have yourself. That is something many people can’t do and is very strong and brave as well :) so pls don’t be too hard on yourself! It’s okey to not always be strong. Of course I agree that she is absolutely stunning :)

Ohhh "Life is so much more than walking" brought tears to my eyes... So did the standing ovation. God puts these obstacles in our lives to teach us STRENGTH and Perseverance so the award was so fitting. I know one day you may feel this hiccup was a blessing in disguise as you will have learned and see life from a different prospective. Wishing you the very best and keep wiggling them piggies and moving around.. I'm sure you'll be walking in no time. Beautiful girl

Hi Sydney! I am a certified physician assistant and I work on the neurological floor at Saint Josephs rehabilitation Center. Most of our guests here are young spinal injury patients . Mostly C3 and C4 but we have had C2 and C3 but they are on ventilators and you’ll understand why. I have never heard of anything like your case and I’ve been doing this for almost 38 years. I just borrowed this iPad so I don’t know what name this is under but I wanted to give you my two cents worth. I was in the hallway and saw our chief of neurosurgery and asked him about your case in particular and he seemed a bit puzzled and quite frankly he said he has never encountered anything like this but he said as long as you don’t have a severance there is always plenty of hope. But he also said he doesn’t have your chart we’re not even in the same state and he’s just talking off the top of his head. This filter, long long way since I started. Now you can take a quadriplegic and put him in one of those robot machines and he can walk! Good luck to you and all that you do I will be watching your channel I think you already know and you are probably very careful about bedsores and pressure sores!
