Those creatures are beyond amazing. Perfect beeings, perfectly syncronized and absolutely necessary to the ecosystem. Always knew they were special, but couldn't even imagine the level on which they operate. Simply amazing ❤️

Bees especially honeybees are one of the few insects alongside butterflies that collect pollen from one flower and transfer it into another. Bees are very useful creatures.

ok so this confirms my worries about store bought honey: Ain't no way they're real. Most of them contain added sugar bc the companies aren't gonna get out of their way to get a million fresh nutritious flowers for every pint of honey they sell. I also saw this one video explaining that a lot of the honey we eat today comes from china and its boiled and made with added sugar and that apparently it was banned for them to export that to the U.S so they acted smart by shipping it to other countries like brazil and then shipping it to the U.S. At this point, I just wanna become a farmer and take care of nature and animals in order to be taken care of by them.

They need both nectar and pollen. The pollen is mixed with nectar used for bee bread for the hive don't only focus on the nectar.. But we don't want too many plants occupying the same field.

I was lied to as a child, bees don't fan their honey to make it, they spit it up back and forth!
@hymnodyhands3 жыл бұрын
They fan too as part of the ripening process to evaporate moisture from it, but there is a lot of spitting up going on too. Of course, honey would be harder to sell if we all knew that, so we were only told half the story...

I actually just read an article about the first company to make honey without using bee’s at all. It’s equal to honey down to the molecular level. I thought that was interesting. I do worry about how much humans steal honey from bee’s. I’m certainly no need expert but it seems hard to believe that bee’s just naturally make way more honey than they actually need/use. It’s kind of sad that it takes millions of flowers worth of nectar for just one pint of honey. Wow. No wonder why honey is pretty expensive. And the poor bee’s get paid nothing, instead they just get robbed of their food regularly. I’ve been interested in manuka honey. I need to research what makes it so special and so frigging expensive.
