thanks bro. i really enjoyed your story. i noticed with most revert stories, people say they get frustrated looking for the answers. islam is the last resort and i believe Allah let's them go on this journey so they can experience things for themselves and have something to compare it to when he does guide them eventually to the truth. so that way you become firm in the deen. there's no what if moments. the best is saved for last.

Interesting how your fitra retained it's purity from the start, explains why you continued seeking the truth despite your Christian and atheistic background. The prophet told about Allah how we were created in the right fitra or the natural inclination, "I have created My servants as one having a natural inclination to the worship of Allah but it is Satan who turns them away from the right religion and he makes unlawful what has been declared lawful for them and he commands them to ascribe partnership with Me, although he has no justification for that." And it's this very fitra which pulls us towards the truth. May Allah bless us and keep us steadfast 🙌🏻

I'm Greek. Grew a Christian, fell out of faith as soon as I started thinking on my own (14) which coincided with my own "This can't happen if God was real" moment. An atheist for 15 years now. Desperate times have me searching for answers so I started reading the New Testament again last month, but I can't just believe without historic records that Christ was resurrected. I have no idea of what Islam preaches. Here, people are afraid of it and there's a belief that it it is in favor of violence. But I think it is a matter of perspective as our History is filled with conflicts with Muslim countries due to Geography, and thus people here have learnt to be polemic. Greece was inevitably the spreading ground for early Christianity, and thus after its establishment there was no spiritual room for a new religion so two worlds collided. May there be peace and open mindedness. Love you Aanghel, may you prosper.

Islam isn’t in favor of violence. For example, there’s a verse people love to quote that’s says “Kill them wherever you come upon them and drive them out of the places from which they have driven you out. For persecution is far worse than killing. And do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they attack you there. If they do so, then fight them-that is the reward of the disbelievers.” They will say that this incites violence but they left out the previous verse which says, “Fight in the cause of Allah ˹only˺ against those who wage war against you, but do not exceed the limits. Allah does not like transgressors,” and the next verses which says, “But if they cease, then surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Fight against them ˹if they persecute you˺ until there is no more persecution, and ˹your˺ devotion will be to Allah ˹alone˺. If they stop ˹persecuting you˺, let there be no hostility except against the aggressors.” They also miss the context that during those times the Muslims had treaties signed that were broken by these people and then were persecuted by them. So not promoting violence but saying that if it comes to that, then so be it, do what you must. There’s a Hadith by the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him where he says, “Do not wish to meet the enemy, but if you meet them, be steadfast.” And to finish off my point, there’s another verse in the Quran which says the following, “That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life-unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land-it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity. ˹Although˺ Our messengers already came to them with clear proofs, many of them still transgressed afterwards through the land.” I hope this clears up the misunderstanding you might have from this whole thing about Islam being a religion of violence. You should definitely look into it as it would answer many of your questions. Love you my brother.
