Map Size: driving 08:58 minutes from end to end!
This game hasn't got the largest open world map. But the game maps aren't that small eighter and besides that this game has three of them. Three maps: Miami, Nice and Istanbul. Let's drive through Nice as if we are on vacation. This is so nice.

Say what you want about the gameplay and bugs but you gotta say reflections did a pretty good job designing the cities

For me, the only bad thing about gameplay besides the bugs was the awful way of aiming, but that could be said of pretty much any ps2 game

You know what i love the most about this game? The cars. They are all old school, 70's and 80's cars and they all feel different and genuinly interesting. Never had i had So much fun driving old stock Renault hatchback around the town as in this game. Unlike gta For example where normal cars feel boring and are clearly meant to be More of a prop than a vehicle to experience

@@pierrepinson2906 i own irl 1987 audi 100 cs Quattro So i love taxi in nice, im not sure if that taxi is based Off the audi 100 but it looks very much alike. Only difference being the lack of c pillar if i remember correctly

Ah the nostalgia. I remember years back. A friend had this on his Xbox which he'd always bring over to my place. We'd play this listening to New Zealand funny songs, which had a few golden tracks - I have especially fond memories of running people down with a truck with the Vote for Me song (Sung by an impersonator of the then prime minister). It was on this map once running from cops down the beach that suddenly a dozen or so people leaped from the cliffs committing mass suicide. My fiend and I just stopped not fully comprehending what had happened. Still one of my favourite bug moments that seemed like so much more.

@@pierrepinson2906 I've been in Nice. It was nice. We tried to find some beaches there, that was very difficult. A lot of privé and hotel beaches. And it was very crowdy everywhere. But the scenery and the atmosphere are amazing!!

🏖It miss the CHURCH NOTRE DAME. The MASSENA and GARIBALDI place, they missed the Beautiful buildings. On 2021, the JEAN MÉDECIN AVENUE they are TRAMWAYS. No cars. They miss luxury boat on the NICE PORT. And no People, no swimmer on the beach. I can't see the CASINOS........But this game is STILL COOL. It is BIZARRE to me to recocgnize NICE in real and NICE on a game. I can see the reality and the video game both......I think it is the same for people who live in MIAMI. Reality and virtuality😊😊😊😊.

@@HowBigistheMap🏖🏖 Yes, i do. Each summer, i spend my holiday in NICE. There are no cars in the old town.🌻🌻 And no véhicules at the "Jean Médecin AVENUE".🚋🚋🚋🚋 There are tramways like in 1900. The big ugly buses station dissapeared. Now there is a huge BEAUTIFUL parc with Palm trees, exoctics flowers, waters, new STATUES ect...There are less traffic vehicules on the " PROMENADE des ANGLAIS"..........🏖More way for bicycles, new palms trees. The "NÉGRESCO" is still the most luxury HÔTEL. There are a lot of luxury boat parked on the port. Nice is absolutely georgous. It is sunny all the time. There is a new red tramways from AIRPORT to the port. NICE is a clean city, the food is very good and delicious ICE-CREAM. People are fashionable and chic :-).

I have never been to Nice but I played Forza Horizon 2 which also features Nice, it's interesting to see which roads and details are shared between Driver 3 and FH2

Driver 3 and perhaps the earlier versions needed taxi or delivery missions; that would greatly improved the downtime between the storyline or narrative missions. A commentator mentioned checkpoint or slalom races , those were added to the sadly inferior Nintendo GBA version of Driver 3. I was also surprised that aftet Driver: San Francisco we did not receive anymore sequels or prequels; hopefully the series is not dead like the Getaway or Mercenaries or True Crime. 😢

I mentioned True Crime before in my earlier comment; however I failed to realize that although TC: Hong Kong was cancelled and never saw the light of day ... a new IP was born called Sleeping Dogs (one that I did not own just like Driver: San Francisco). I did follow both titles when they just released but I wad either too busy with life, romance, work or other things to be distracted by hobbies such as electronic video games (no offense to people who actually earn a living creating said video game IP's). 😅

The Driver 3 GBA version sadly removed the area of Istanbul but kept the cities of Miami and Nice; in my honest opinion the dev's could have squezed (sp) Istanbul into the GBA version with a bit of a work around. Maybe remove the side quests or missions like slalom or checkpoint; seriously the loss of Istanbul ruined the entire narrative for Driver 3 on GBA. 😮😒
