I wonder how our ancestors really felt during July 4th celebration when they were slaves. Talk about hypocrisy slave owner celebration of freedom when millions of black folks were being held against their will absolutely horrible

You can't blame someone for believing the lie when the lie is all they've ever known. Spreading truth is the only way to break the brainwashing.

It's just so sad...the way "they" always complain..."hey what about us". Never wanting "our people" to be happy because we remain jubilant thru hard and good times. "They" don't understand "our" eternal happiness. Somehow as "we" continue to be oppressed "we" still are happy, "we" still remain strong and "we" still thrive. It makes "them" envy "us" more. This was a great video showing how "we" prevail. ❤ Thank you!!

That's just about every holiday for me. You can't white wash away slavery and genocide of the First Nations. If you don't look and behave like the Cleavers from "Leave it to Beaver" you're just meat for the machine.

Juneteenth is my Favorite holiday! Although my 4th & 5th Great-Grandfathers & 4th Great-Grand Uncle fought in the American Revolution, I do not celebrate July 4th. They were of Native, African & Caucasian decent. I'm sure they weren't treated as equals. Instead I honor them.

keep that holiday for the europeans and let them continue to celebrate it, we should not because we were not free and we continue to want to be part of their bullshit, we need self determination and unity amongst ourselves in some kind of form, not July 4th

If you don't celebrate it or care about it why are you here? Y'all are exhausting.... keep your snarky comments to yourselves. FYI our people fought in every war this Country has been involved in. I'm going to celebrate my people for that out of respect. They're the reason you all have the freedoms you have. They couldn't enjoy it so I'm going to enjoy it for them.

I know the names of my free ancestors that fought in the Revolutionary War but I do not celebrate July 4th. I honor them on a regular basis. Juneteenth is my favorite holiday. To each his own. It just depends on how you look at it. In no way am I disrespecting my ancestors by not celebrating July 4th. I'm sure they were not treated equally before they fought or after.
