What Nana is saying about the power of the Asante is true I come to UK at very young age of 18yrs in 1966 that time an English person will ask you what country do you come from and if you say Ghana they will then ask you again where in Ghana and if you say kumasi they will then hoo the warriors ashanti So the old people then knew how powerful the Asantes are

🔥🔥Powerful, Nana Sayana good job. Nana forgot to mention that the Asantes gave a fake Golden Stool that one of the envious chiefs made and confiscated by Asante King to the Brittish, and that most of the conquered lands of Techiman was given to Otumfuo's son Nkoransa as a gift to rule over them. Again Nanny was a queen in Asante who was taken to Jamaica as a war captive and grouped all the Asantes as well as other Akans to form the maroons and fought against the British in Jamaica to gain independence during colonial era. The Maroons has mentained most of their Asante cultral practices till date, hence the flag of Jamaica has the same colors as the flag of Asante. You have Maroons in Jamaica, Suriname, Guyana and so on they are all mostly Asantes and other Akans. Like wise Baule tribe in Ivory Coast parted from Asante during Asante civil war and formed Powerful Kingdom by queen Abena Pokua in the Ivorycoast as well. They are all Asantes. Piaaww, very Powerful history indeed, The Asante Kingdom is not a joke and a force to reckoned with💪🔥🔥✨

Nanny of the maroons was apparently from Nsuta. I have seen the Fake sika dwa at the British Army Royal Engineer museum in Gillingham, Kent, UK with my own eyes feely feely like kofitv. Nana....she was taken as a slave to Jamaica with her brothers, but she was very brave and escaped into the surrounding mountains and killed several slave raiders who tried to take her back...after all their unfruitful efforts, they left Nana alone and she became a leader of her people(maroons)...and thus later her picture was even imprinted on their currency...but they cldnt properly mention her name, so they called her "Nane"

Africans living in US are still fighting for reparations since…it’s funny how Maame Grace is seriously debating pains and hardship caused through war but we so easily and readily, without any remorse or this ‘pain’ as she calls it here, accept the white man and his religion. The day and night effects in the forest where the Golden stool was hidden anytime the whites attempted to cease it is similar to the Bible story of the Israelites crossing the Nile and there was a pillar of cloud behind the people where it lits at night and leads the crowd. The Egyptians couldn’t catch up with them because of the protection the pillar of cloud gave them.

The War of the Golden Stool, also known as the Yaa Asantewaa War, the Third Ashanti Expedition, the Ashanti Uprising, or variations thereof, was a campaign in 1900 during the series of conflicts between the United Kingdom and the Ashanti Empire later Ashanti Region. Yaa Asantewaa I was born 1840 Died 1921 at the age of 81. On September 14, 1939, the VS-300, the world's first practical helicopter, took flight at Stratford, Connecticut. Designed by Igor Sikorsky and built by the Vought-Sikorsky Aircraft Division of the United Aircraft Corporation, the helicopter was the first to incorporate a single main rotor and tail rotor design. I wonder when the helicopter was used in capturing Nana yaa Asantewaa 🤔

@Maame Grace, but the killing after war dierr its a preservation strategy'ooo...even in the bible, all King David's wars, the God of his fathers told him to kill everything, men women children, even the animals...Saul was told to do same and he kept the fat oxen to sacrifice to God and God got upset for his disobedience, so the prophet Samuel said to him, "to obey is better than to sacrifice".

Personally I think one has to dig deeper to know our history well cos the Europeans came to the from the coastal areas how were they able to to pick people from northern part of the country and lastly whenever you read about how the various tribes we establish you realise some missing pieces in all of them
