For years candy corn was a comfort food for me, but now in my 50s, I just can't anymore. Too sweet and the consistency is bad.

I hear ya! I cut candy out of my diet a while ago, and any time I taste it now it's way too sweet! I'd much rather eat fresh fruit... dang I'm old lol!
