Hi, I’m Jessica Boss. You probably know me from my other videos about how to get back together with your ex. If this is your first time on my channel, welcome. I’m a relationship coach and breakup guru. I specialize in helping people get back together and stay together for good. The world can be a lonely place and I think that if you’ve found someone you love, you should do all you can to fight for them.
So, on to the topic at hand. I know what you’re probably thinking: “Breaking up is what I’m trying to avoid. How can it be a good thing?” “You’re crazy Jessica. You’ve finally lost it.”
I may be crazy but I promise you that it’s true: breaking up can save your relationship, and I’m going to prove it. With science!
First off, breakups aren’t the end for many relationships.
According to a 2013 study by Kansas State University:
“Given previous research on the risks associated with cycling in adult dating relationships the frequency with which cyclical dating relationships persist into cohabitation and marriage, the characteristics of these relationships, and the constraints associated with cycling during these stages using a nationally representative sample of cohabiting (n = 323) and married (n = 752) couples.
The takeaway is:
One in three couples who live together have broken up and got back together
Nearly half of people aged 17-24 have returned to an ex after breaking up
I like those odds.
So why do these couples reconcile? And how can breaking up help you stay together in the long run?

Thank you for this reminder 🙏🩷 If he comes back it will have been after the second break up.. both times he pulled the trigger. I don't feel like he's going to come back this time like he came back the first time.... They had an affair for several months which their family were in on and they got me into alot of debt by forging my signature on all the utility bills without me knowing before ditching me. I fucking hate being single, it's so bloody boring, and the points you raised here are accurate. I just felt so content and carefree knowing I had someone, so whenever I was out with my friends on say a night out and some of them were concerned about chatting people up (which is perfectly fine) it was so nice just knowing I was in a happy relationship and didn't have to care about trying to make an impression. I don't feel that if I'm single I have to try and get with people, but sometimes it's just subconscious to feel like you have to/want to get with someone.

This is really terrible advice. My ex broke up with me after we lived together for nearly 4 years. I had to move and had nothing. I lost my job at around the same time so moving really didn't help my situation either. She realized I wasn't coming back and tried several times to reconnect. I found out later she initiated the breakup thinking I would come back. She tried to manipulate me. And she wasn't treating me well before the break-up. I gave her every chance to work things out and she chose to hurt me instead. So, I walked away and shut the door on my way out. She's engaged now and has tried to rub it in my face. I can see she's not really happy, but honestly I don't think she ever will be. Communicate and work on yourself while in a relationship if you can't do that then your not ready to have a serious long term relationship with anyone.

Reflect, take responsibility for your role, work on learning from your mistakes and grow into a better, more self loving person. If you do this you will be better off regardless of if your ex comes back (you probably won't want them back at this point) or you will meet someone better and you will be healthier/happier regardless. I am in quite a pickle at the moment. I broke up with my ex girlfriend who was more committed than me in the relationship. When I met her I was still resolving some trauma from a previous toxic relationship I had come out of 2 months before we started dating. I think I broke her heart so bad that she just can't see herself trying again. She wants space and is hanging with a new guy now. We broke up yesterday because I said I was done with her. This was out of anger from her questioning if we are truly soulmates or not. This comes after an entire year of pandemic stress and both being out of work, constantly around one another. I gave it a couple of days, thinking that she would understand if I made her feel what I felt. But it backfired and now she doesn’t want to hear from me. She’s making me seem like I’m a terrible person, even though we got her into therapy and she was able to find some clarity. But not me. I was stuck in the same place, while she started to see how shitty I have been because of stress. I was upset because she wasn’t helping me emotionally. Because she was busy trying to help herself.. but I was always there to try and support her. In the end, she had to do it for her self. I now am realizing a lot of different things that I didn’t before. Like how badly I also needed to seek therapy to make sense of what is going on. But I grew confused and helpless so I gave in. But not for real. Except she actually thought it was for real. Now she seems to hate me. She literally said she hates me. This is coming from a place of anger, because we shared the most magical 2 years of our lives together. We were growing tired of one another because of how unhealthy life became. This break up is showing me why I love her so much and that it was on me all along, to make myself feel better. Just because she acted like it was my job to do for her, it wasn’t her job to do for me. I expected that, and it turned her against me because she couldn’t satisfy me. She also has insecurities, no matter how many times I remind her of her natural beauty. I’ve brought her closer to herself than ever, and now I’m afraid she outgrew me. If I was able to do more right now, we could be healthier. But it’s all messed up now, so I’ll post again in the future if we end up coming back together (which I’m really hoping for). Maybe this will help someone relate. There is hope if we take action. I just hope it doesn’t take too long because this really sucks.

I want to get her back, but right now, I'm on my lowest point, she's the one who broke up with me, if I want her back, I should improve my self first, love my self first, yes you guys might say "Why would you still like your ex if she left you, she does not love you anymore, she's not even there on your lowest, she talked to someone else, she left, she gave up" well, im a fool LOL just kidding. I love her. that's it. I'm going through a hard time right now, and I really need help. A week ago on March 7th, 2019, my boyfriend (now ex) and I broke up. We dated for 7months. His last text, he basically told me that he will give me time to express how I feel when we will both have time, and that I need to work on my flaws for now. Right after the break up, he changed the Netflix account password that we were sharing, and he also changed his FaceBook status to Single. Last month, when we got in a huge fight, we took a week break. After the break, I told him that I will work harder and will get better. But I realized that it's not going to happen, unless I take some time away from him. Because I was too comfortable with him. Right now, I've been talking to my friends and family, and getting support from them. His mom has actually been helping me out a lot. My plan is, to not contact him for at least 30 days after the break up. But since I have a package I still need to send him, and he didn't let me express my feelings, I'm going to include a letter in the package and send them at around a month later the break up. Before sending him the package, I will text him and let him know, after the 30 days are over. He gave me a promise ring, and we were also planning to get married. His family was accepting me as well. I really want him back in my life, because I have been through toxic relationships, and I know for sure that this isn't. What should I do to get back with him? Please give some advice.

Oh wow , so true, especially when you said about wanting to get a motorcycle and ride and my husband was against it. He said that causes divorces. Well he left me and will not say why and I haven't got a bike yet. Your right about breaking up and acting like it. Got dumped .. although we love each other like a lot.we are each other’s best friend and soul mate..but we fought a lot..I’m no contact.will we get back toghther??😔😔😔 Edit: he messaged me from this morning and we were taking for most of the day.I man idk if were getting back toghther but I’ll give another update soon Update:after me going no contact he message me out the blue asking how I was doing..I ignored it of course..& then he called a few mins later..I ignored the first ring.. the decided to pick up the second time he called. And the rest was history..he even offered to come over so we can talk and work things out..on his own free will and we did. Spent hours talking about what needs to be done to make a healthy rs.. and the rest is history..my message from one dumpee to another I know it’s sad and it hurts but pleaseeee go no contact ..it may be days..weeks...or months..if he loves u like he says he does he will be back..mine came back within a week

Brooo same with me. It has to do with distance and a few other small things with my situation. She broke things off because she would feel bad if I made so many sacrifices for her and a new life.. distance was between us But if I had moved to her then I would be too far from my own family and she didn't like that for many reasons. But I was happily working on those sacrifices anyway to be with her. She loves me a lot but doesn't want to see me disappointed or stressed... tbh, just keep working. Keep building that future and make those sacrifices.. I know I will.. even though it's a chance that I will never see her again, I'll still make those sacrifices for growth and to maybe see and experience new things that I haven't seen before :)
