We all love Brendan Fraser, but do you know how, exactly, he became the comeback king? After starting a Brenaissance on TikTok, we all knew that his return to the big screen was only a matter of time! Brendan Fraser has had quite an interesting career, from his beginnings appearing on screen with River Phoenix and Lili Taylor on Dogfight. He’s gone on to appear in the live action movie George of the Jungle by the Walt Disney Company. He starred in the Mummy trilogy alongside Rachel Weisz, directed by Stephen Sommers. And now, his role in the Whale seems to be his most celebrated movie yet! The Whale is also starring such incredible talents as Sadie Sink, best known for the Netflix series Stranger Things, as well as Ty Simpkins, who’s appeared in both the Jurassic Park franchise as well as the Marvel Cinematic universe. The Whale is directed by Darren Aronofsky, who’s earned a bit of a reputation in Hollywood with his work on movies like Black Swan and Mother! The Whale has earned Brendan Fraser nominations for best actor from both the Oscars and the Golden Globes, and he has even earned the Tribute Award from the Toronto International Film Festival and a standing ovation at the Venice International Film Festival! Otherwise, Brendan Fraser has also worked on the Harold Ramis comedy Bedazzled, he’s worked with Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi in Airheads, and he starred in the half live action and half animated movie Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
