British blogger and owner of Total Croatia News shared his experience with us!
This is the fourth video in the British Embassy in Croatia’s “What Links Us Together” video series exploring our human links through those who have travelled between our two countries to work, to study and to enjoy what each has to offer.
We welcome your feedback on the idea and the films themselves. Do you know anyone we could feature? If so, please let us know!

Eat your words Paul! I just saw article in which you criticise croatian tourist boards not promoting Croatia as much as you have opinion is to promote it but here you say do not change Dalmatia. If you live 15 yrs in Croatia and are journalist, then you should know, Croatia's reputation alone fills every year all accomodation places. Croatian government does not want more crowds, nasty partying tourists, no glam pricey hotels dotted along whole coast to feed pockets of out of Uk rich moguls! Recommendation from those visiting is enough to promote Croatian tourism. You should be ashamed. You got citizenship in Croatia thenn you chose to try and shit at Croatia! I am in Uk, and I do not do that to your birth country!!! You made a living out of Croatia, be bloody gratefull like I made it in Uk!!

@@granadacrain5219 The Illyrians and Greeks did not build anything of what you see in Dalmatia. Everything was built and created by latin and venetian people. The illyrians were assimilated by latin people, who were in Dalmatia 1000 years before the arrival of Croats from nowadays Belarus/Ucraine.....

@@granadacrain5219 You could have asked it to Louis François. This french guy saw Dalmatia in 1805, before the Austro/ Croatian had carried out the ethnic cleansing against the native italian population in Dalmatia: “The real Dalmatians are Italians, and particularly Venetians, in the fullest acceptation of the word: - they speak the language, have the same manners, customs, and religion; the same craftiness as those people... Hence we find the inhabitants of those countries [Dalmatia and Istria] to consist of Italians in the towns and burghs on the coast; Morlachians in some isles and in the vallies...” -Louis François Cassas, Travels in Istria and Dalmatia, 1805

@@granadacrain5219 Who told you I want Dalmatia to be part of Italy? The culture was Italian, then your ancestors came and made this paradise of different people a 100% slavic/croatian nation as it it is today. “The captain himself belonged to one of the outlying islands...and he took a gloomy view of the prospects of the "Dalmati," as the Italian-speaking Dalmatians call themselves. He said when he was a boy the language used in the schools generally was Italian, then it was changed to German for a time, but Croat is now universal, so that in twenty years Italian will no longer be understood along the eastern littoral; which will be bad for the culture of the country, almost the whole of which is Italian, and has been so for centuries.” -Frederick Hamilton Jackson, The Shores of the Adriatic, the Austrian Side, 1908

@@granadacrain5219 In the inlands. The illiryans in the coastline were mixed with latins settlers and then with venetians. Then Franz Joseph replaced them with slavic population in the XIX century.
