You're so right about Jimin being the hardest on himself. His song "Lie" is about his struggle with his negative self-talk. And "Promise" is him promising to be kinder to himself. Both amazing songs. As for Yoongi protecting Jimin from a fan. That's because Jimin has had death threats from delusional fans who thought Jimin was getting in the way of JK and V being in love.

I really like Jimin a lot. He's very talented and hard working. He has the warmest heart, very caring and sensitive to others. He's so adorable and cute and I get why the members tend to takes care of him. They adored him so much. And I think having Jimin in your life is such a blessing.

I really love the way they all learned the right way to massage his chronic neck injury to help him. JK especially spends a lot of time doing that, knowing how much pain Jimin is constantly in. They all love each other so much, and they're all such genuinely kind people. Their brotherhood is like nothing I've ever seen. I'm glad they're there for him. He's had a rough time, especially this year with the doxxing, mail theft and death threats. I'll never understand how anybody can hate any of them. (BTW, that awesome dance move was from the live performance of "Serendipity".)

the song you wanted to listen to, which RM and Jimin worked on, is called Promise. Jimin has chronic neck and back pain due to dancing and acrobatics, that's why you will often see members take turns massaging him. Jimin often needs to tape his neck and back or even take injections to release the pain during touring. And for the part where Suga protected Jimin, i think it was during the period Jimin got a death threat, so members were being extra careful. 19:01 that was Jimin's solo song Serendipity, the live is a must!

I remember the video where his knee was being worked on & he started to (what seemed to be cry), although he tried to pull it off as laughing. You really couldn't see his face. I feel for him. I'm always amazed at how well he performs through the pain. I do know that it has stopped him a time or two, but still. I have chronic neck pain & can only think of the pain when it flares up. These guys amaze me all the time! They are so caring towards each other and their fans. Melts my heart.

Jin was checking on Jimin while filming the mv for Blood, sweat & tears because he had been extreme dieting. He only ate one meal a day for 10 days leading up to the shoot. He lost over 10 kg (22 lb.). All while rehearsing and practicing everyday for the video. Jimin felt the song was a little edgier/sexier and he wanted to look the part. Yoongi pulled Jimin behind him at the airport because Jimin had received death threats around that time.

Yes, even today, if Jimin mentions wanting to loose weight, the first thing the other members do is tell him not to stop eating (like with J-Hope after Lolopalooza). He then reassures them that he's eating properly, and just exercising to get the weight down. I honestly think he scared them when he was extreme dieting like that. I think he got to the point when he scared himself. What I loved seeing were the instances where Yoongi showed how highly he thought of Jimin. That always touches me. And when Namjoon is talking about Jimin being "A great idol who can do everything". The line I love the most is when Namjoon calls him "An axis the stage revolves around". That... May well be the highest praise a performer can get.💜👍 There is also the fact that Jimin cares so much about the others. He gives so much of himself to them, there's not always a lot left over for himself. Which is why the others make sure to look after HIM. Honestly, BTS is not only seven members, but it NEEDS those particular seven individuals. It works because of who those seven remarkable, compassionate, intelligent, caring, talented, driven, professional, hilarious, at times crazy, young men are. And it's why we love them.💜

Seeing Jimin be down really breaks my heart because he's worked really hard his whole life, not letting himself rest and I just think he needs to be easy on himself sometimes because overworking himself is not a good idea. And he's always the strong, positive and joyful one. If I could tell one thing to Jimin and the members in general is that they don't need to always be on point, to always give their 1000% because they're humans and humans are imperfect, which is what makes the so perfect in my eyes, the fact they're not afraid to show they are just people, just like all of us

The company saw he was good, but I don’t think the really appreciated how “amazingly talented and awesome he is, and how lucky they were to have gotten him. Got to remember the company didn’t treat Jimin well in the pre-debute stage…threatening him that he is going to be fired/let go at any moment up to debute day, they did not giving him the vocal training-the one on one time, like the other guys(2-3 years worth), and which the company just expected him to do it on point. Also the fake fans insulting him about him being fat-the chubby cheeks (even though he wasn’t fat, that he was just a growing kid), bullying to threatening him, and then the death threats… sensitive time in a kid’s life-they tried to break his confidence, self esteem, etc… And those haters are still there, can’t seems to permanently block and ban them for life.

Yes, exactly to all of this! I also think the clip of when Jungkook was walking with Jimin in the airport with his hand on his neck was because there had previously been a huge crowd at the airport which had tripped Jimin and he fell heavily, the next time Jungkook walked with him. You can see more about Jimin’s neck, shoulder and back pain in some of their videos, Burn the Stage for example. It started most severely in Macao in 2017 and still flares up. You can see it flare up too in his solo Black Swan Bangtan Bomb episode. In October 2018 he had to pull out of the Graham Norton show in London because it had flared and he couldn’t get injections there straight away. Jungkook was talking about it in this video as Jungkook hurt his heel &had stitches so couldn’t dance, Jungkook said Jimin worked harder to compensate & had the flare up as a result of overstaining bless him. And yes, that flip is iconic from Serendipity, I thought you’d seen it before but maybe not. Jimin is amazing, he’s also the gift and birthday fairy too having started that between the members, RM , Jungkook, Jhope and V have mentioned it several times &he is incredibly generous. He’s just an amazing guy, they all are but Jimin hits different. BTS are so different as artists being such genuinely good, humble and down to earth human beings!

you got it right Bryan Jimin has struggled a lot with confidence in his singing and himself but i personally feel in the last two three years he has gotten so much better about how he views himself. I think Jimin was too hard on himself because he is a perfectionist but also because of all the hate and attacks people make against him, most of the kpop stans have criticized him for his voice since his debut, they criticized every little mistake while performing and they have also fatshamed him. That's why Army is very protective of him and the rest of the members. Fortunately today I see him happier and he puts less pressure on himself

I love how they love him, I love how he loves them and love how they love each other. He is very hard on himself and because they know each other well, they know how to care for that person, what they need, they knew how to encourage Jimin and remind him of his gifts. They are all very intuitive towards each other's needs. This video never gets old. It reminds us how hard they work. Also reminds us that we can build these kind of relationships, and it can start with ourselves to others. Giving and not expecting to receive. It was their first live concert during quarantine without any audience only their crew, in 2020. It was quite bittersweet for them after having to cancel a massive world tour

With the Yoongi at the airport clip, Taehyung also moved right up to cover Jimin. They were very protective for a while as he had 4 serious death threats over the course of 2 years and one was very specific. The US police investigated and put on extra security. They still are quite protective if Jimin at airports at times. Jimin battled confidence issues because he had the shortest time as a trainee and was threatened often with having to leave. This was on the 'BTS Quiz on the Block' episodes. And he wasn't given singing lessons as Jungkook and Taehyung were but given complex high notes to sing. He's said many times that his tonsils are large and after singing in concerts at first he would be hoarse for several days after. These are the reasons the members are extra protective and supportive of him. As with all BTS his back story and early days are fascinating. Thanks so much for this. I especially love Jimin videos, have seen this one but your reation was a real pleasure, very genuine.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over BH not giving him vocal lessons. So much pain (physical and emotional) could have been avoided. I’m sure once he did get lessons, he then had to unlearn what he was doing and that is tough. When I think about how low his self esteem was (is?) when it comes to his voice, it breaks my heart.

@suebee0619 that was so hard for him, but as Bighit weren’t sure he’d make into the group they didn’t invest in Jimin as much as the others then once debut happened he took on a different role for a while as the one who danced powerfully and had the abs…..they pushed this for a while. In his log in 2016 Jimin was saying how he still felt he needed to improve his singing and wanted to try to do more about it. If he only knew…..later in festa 2019 Taehyung said that the Jimin he is now suits him more than the then, he has been able express himself more. It took a long time and that start didn’t help. But it was all part of their journey I guess.

All things in the past, Bighit loves their Jimin now. They have that "best boy Jimin" photograph framed in the Hybe building from that run BTS episode ❤️ while no other members are there... Doesn't mean they are biased or anything, just means they love everyone. In the past, Jungkook & Taehyung were in the group already, their training period was long too, so not only these 2 but other 4 (except JM) were getting different lessons already when JM joined. Jimin had just 6 months to do the magic, and he did. He's a magical boy. Now he adds the grace to the group ✨

Jimim went through the shortest period as a trainee. He used to sleep for only 2 hours, practicing dancing and singing. He always was the hardest in himself. Extremely perfeccionist and always feeling down because of it. His album , FACE, many songs were written to himself. To love himself more, be more kind and more accepting of his accomplishments. Jimin has worked very hard to become a little more comfortable with who he is. It has been a huge struggle for him through most of their career. As several others have said, his song "Lie" is about how he would talk to himself and how his inner voice didn't allow him to accept the compliments he received from others. He had an image in his head of how he felt he had to be or how he was expected to be and it was quite opposite to who he is naturally. So he hated himself. There's a reason why the majority of the clips of Jimin "acting cute" are all fairly newer. I think the members loving Jimin the way he needed helped him a lot.

In my perspective, Jimin has always been a perfectionist, whether it's from his childhood or life experiences that haunt him, I see how so passionate he is....they all are. His voice is distinctive, his dance is so amazing, and his personality alone is commendable. They all have such lovely hearts and together; they are perfectly meshed. Sometimes I tend to think some artists are overrated etc., but if they put in as much work as BTS do, they are NEVER overrated and 100% deserve their success for that solely. When JHope was headlining Lollapalooza in 2022 he was having trouble eating and sleeping because of stress. He mentioned this to Jimin who hopped on a flight to Chicago right away and surprised Jhope. Having Jimin with him supporting him he was able to eat and sleep.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Nice video. Sweet. Never saw it before. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. Jimin is precious must protect. If u listen to Jimin's solo's from early days to now and watch all his lives u will see his growth. Yeah he is a perfectionist. And had a low self esteem in the early days. There was a lot of trauma in his trainee period. All the others had 3-2 years of training. Jimin only had 8 months before debut. He was almost kicked out 8 times. He barely slept and worked hard all the time to stay with the members. It was very stressful. The others know he needs more attention and they give it to him. He is a very caring person. Very epthanic. He is also shy. He grew a lot these past few years. The pandemic was really hard on him. He spoke with the members more and really matured. He barely cries these days. He is so focused on his album and telling his story. I am so proud to see his growth. I am excited to hear more from him. He my angel. He always goes on Weverse to tell us he is doing well. He always apologises that he has been away. He is very thoughtful man. I hope u listen to his song Promise. It is a very special song. Jimin does not write many songs. He struggles with sharing his thoughts. RM helps him a lot. That is why I am so excited for his album. Jimin wants to say stuff. oh and as a person who is obsessed with good quality sound and all that, you telling people to put on headphones for better experience really makes me happy, cause im the same way, i have a really good speaker system tho so when people and family want to watch trailers they always come to my room, but if im showing a video im like " put them headphones on if you got a good set of sounds please... " or im checking if the actual quality is good enough before viewing etc, i said alot but it just shows you love your craft and want to share the good soundscape with everyone and i love that ^^ cause bad sound can really ruin a good video.

A fellow audiophile! I appreciate you noticing why I ask people to put on headphones. Every video I take time mixing and listening to the sound levels to make sure it's the best I can make it sound, with my current knowledge. I hope to get a better setup one day with a mixer and such, but I need to read and learn more about it first before I dump money into expensive audio equipment. Thank you for watching!

Weirdly enough. Jimin may be the one member who needs physical protection the least since he has nearly a decade of training in multiple martial arts with at least one black belt if I remember correctly. Yet there's something about him that just brings out your protective instinct. Like I can't fight to save my life but I feel like my gut reaction would be to step in front of Jimin too like Suga did when he thought someone potentially dangerous was approaching. So I get it to some degree why he sort of moved without thinking. He really triggers a nurturing instinct in people I think. No matter how much we know he's a perfectly capable adult who can handle himself fine, you still want to pamper him and care for him anyways just because. Plus he's that way with others too so you know he appreciates it when others do it for him.

Jimin is kind of like Steph Curry on the Warriors. When Durant came over, with other stars like Thompson and Green, it wouldn't have worked without the personality of Steph to be humble and think of team first. Just for clarification that was not a fan, but a memeber of the team that they did not know possibly on site team. I loved how YoonGi pushed him behind him and V walked over to protect also. Do not mess with the Daegu boys (SUGA AND V) or bangtan as they are skilled. Funny thing is that Jimin is a matial arts expert in many of the arts. He is self taught singer and because of his high voice it was difficult for the others to really help him in the beginning. Jimn is also prone to muscle spasms and has a chronic knee injjury.
