Great video! But I'm really interested in how you found the interview with Jean--Claude Carriere. I'm currently trying to cite the Luc Lagier documentary as a source to my research paper about TDCOTB compared to a polish absurdist play by W. Gombrowicz. I just can't find the video anywhere in the internet. Could you direct me to it or ar least tell me how you came across it? And seriously great video dude, helped me a lot in my writing process.

Thank you for the kind words! I unfortunately have to tell you that most interview/documentary footage of this video came from the special features and extras of a DVD that I bought to get some more insight into the making of this film; the unfortunate part being that I am not particularly sure how accessible the footage is on the internet, or how internationally available that specific DVD set is. To be precise, it was the "Close Up - Luis Buñuel" 3-movies collection made by a European production company called "Arthaus". I am not aware if these exact special features are featured in any other physical copies of the movie. I hope that's at least somewhat of a help. If you need any more help or clarification, I'll gladly reply!

He's a Spaniard who made films in Mexico, that doesn't make him Mexican. Ugh.

I merely said "Spanish-Mexican" because that is what most of my sources claimed him to be; of course, he was born in Spain, but he later, after his exile, he renounced his Spanish citizenship and was nationalized as a Mexican, therefore I wouldn't quite say that it is entirely inaccurate. Nevertheless, I do feel sorry if this debatable statement offended you in any way.

Offended by that fact that he called this guy Mexican bc he has gained citizenship of Mexico Brother ur whole country has adopted Spanish culture(clothes,food,European lifestyle, Christianity) Most cucked thing is that almost all the Mexican people speak Spanish ,discarded indigenous languages,culture(clothing,food,lifestyle,religion) Don't try to larp as any different from Spain ,ur whole culture has erased indigenous culture ,adopted,worships Spanish culture(euro centric Beauty standard is also prevalent in Mexico too)

It’s all perspective, in the U.S. you can come from a different country and become a citizen by naturalization or have been born in the U.S. with Mexican roots you’re considered a Mexican-American citizen. While in Mexico if you’re born in the U.S. and become a naturalized citizen in Mexico, you’re still considered just Gringo with Mexican citizenship by Mexicans due to not being born in Mexico. Now, if a couple migrated from a different country to Mexico and had a child born in Mexico, he is considered just a Mexican with parents from different country.
