I’m my opinion this is when country became a more distinct style. Even Western Swing had heavy jazz influence but the Bakersfield sound was 100% “country” I think it even solidified the idea of being “country.” That being said it’s not my favorite sound. And country only proceeded to get less interesting until people like Colter Wall came out and brought back the folk influences.

They are. Jonathan Davis uses Buck Owens studio. He might even own it, I’m not 100% sure. He and Jonathan Davis’s father and grandfather were good friends.
