It's a great podcast lesson as always ❤ Thanks ksenia & Izzy. I learned a bunch of new vocabulary - Overwhelmed, fuzzy, to implement, a thinker, controversial, consistency, to commute, to kill two birds with one stone, quintessential, concise, every little bit counts, to draw inspiration from sth, to reinforce, a virtuos cycle, rome wasn't built in a day, a lagging measure, it takes a while, to ace a test, to be fixated on sth, to synergize, time flies when you're having fun, to facilitate, to sneak sth in, a snowball effect, don't bite off more than you can chew, a cue, a trigger, to be snowed under, swamped, to have a lot on our plates, to be buried in work, a side hustle, eye-opening, on autopilot, to juggle, to stack, to flee, It's rocket science, empowered, to envision.

It is because of (1) connected speech, (2) reduced function words, (3) wide variety of slang, and (4) quality of the sound (interference from background sounds like musics, sounds effects, and so on). Train (1) and (2) as much as you can, and you will get better. Regarding (3) and (4), forget it.. just use the subtitles as a crutch, as more than 60% of native speakers do.

10 minutes is not enough for fluency. Maybe, it is enough for a general knowlege of English. Nobody remembers the 20.000 hours that as children, they were exposed to their native language before starting school at the age of 6. Don’t worry, if you have listened to the whole episode you were exposed to English for 30 minutes. Enjoy the process and if you are already intermediate look for a remote Job in English. You will be practising for 8 hours a day and you will be paid for that.

Good morning, Kseniya! I really like the way you both were talking on how to that precious 10 minutes on learning English. I fully agree with you on what you are saying but in the podcast the speaker was showing the exact hours of free time but I didn't understand when she said the following and let me quote her " people claiming 75 plus hours work weeks were off by about 25 hours" after saying to that the whole audience burst into laughter. What does the speaker actually mean by that ?

I pretty sure that you need much more than 10min a day, for at least to get some visible result. You have to spend 400-600 hours just to move to the next step (b1 to b2 for example). Then simply count, when you will aquire fluency, with only 10 min a day 😂 I bet if you live at least for 200years, you will. Not many ppl can afford such a long life 😅 Habits is the must. But you also need 2-5 hours per day. (yeah i know thats hard, and i've almost never reached that counts myself). But 10min... 😅

Hi there! Thank you for sharing your perspective. Indeed it seems little time but we believe that more importantly than the time spent is consistency and move forward one step at time and it will become easier and easier.

actually the phrase “i’m finding new way for doing” is incorrect. you must use “im finding new ways to do”, that’s the correct structure.
