Bring it on! Stop worrying about newts (not an endangered species in the UK) and as a result denying young people affordable homes. Build, build, build and bring back free University tuition asap - the economic growth created by a building boom would pay for it. After World War II we were 'broke' as a country, yet we built millions of homes and introduced the NHS. It's time for bold action - economist John Maynard Keynes developed the concept of 'animal spirits' in the economy. It's time to spark a boom and save Britain. Make it so No 1.

I can't believe I haven't heard of Prof Tim Leunig before - perhaps I'm just ill-informed. Such clarity, such intelligence. And he designed the Furlough Scheme...?! Another podcast triumph.

Stop inviting hundreds of thousands of people into the country every year i.e. close the border. Let supply catch up with demand. Problem solved.

Impossible, we need millions of houses to support migrants we build about 600 per day and need over 1000 a day. Simple fact is that's not going to happen so house prices will saw and the slums will get massive
