I’m an American living in California and I have to say I’m a Doer. I grew up very poor, and I’ve worked hard all my life. I’m in my 40s and I own two Harleys, two Honda enduros and am looking at buying a super bike. It’s easier and cheaper to buy bikes here, but you still have to work hard if you aren’t born rich. DV is correct - bikes are a waste of money if you don’t earn money with them. Fortunately I have worked hard for many years and now I can afford to waste money. Thanks DV for giving the younger guys an honest dose of reality.

Western people can buy superbikes or other luxury items partly because of their mindset and also because of how much they earn which is higher than indians here in india. Even youtube gets them very good money. 650ib left his job and started full time youtube about 2 years ago or so and he also has a family with two kids. He has a land rover corvette and about 7 superbikes. So its all about how much you earn and the eagerness to buy the mindset to buy it. In india leaving the rich who has ancestral support or inheritance its verg hard for a normal working guy to buy anything luxurious after maintaining your family. Only possible if you have a very high paying job or your business is simply flying which isnt the case for 90% of people.

Here in Canada, just purchased new 2020 KTM 1290 R Super Duke. Yes I was lucky to finance it at 48 months at 0%. The killer here is insurance companies, my monthly bike payment is almost as much insurance. It's such a scam insurance! My license is clean, at 55 years old paying $210. monthly Canadian. 🇨🇦

I really miss the old super bike culture we used to have in bangalore early 2000 to 2007 08 types. ... those were the days no photos not show off no Instagram non sense .. just bike u and u r friends share bit of expenses help each other to maintain these bikes and ride them with no bank balance backing you ... that needed some passion ... I still remember buying alpinestars leather riding gear and a arai helmet on a personal loan .

@@dv.3009 I don't quite agree with your ' talkers' prejudice.Just like in the west,in India too we have people with raw passion , however,as you quoted people in the west are free from societal issues,so even if a courier delivery guy in the UK owns a super bike,no body questions him,but in India , including bikers like you ,r still categorising people purely under the basis of wealth .I think a passion is a passion , and the ' talker' category guy is able to live his dream for a very small period by procuring the bike by legal means, let's not deprive him of the little appreciation that he needs.So it's probably one of the strong reason that a lower class guy even hesitate to 'rent ' a super bike, because he would anyways be ridiculed by people like you by placing him in the talker category,and what this means is that, the super bike culture is still reserved for the cliched "well - to- do " group.This kind of video also lets down ideas from start ups to grow the super bike culture in India. The dynamics of everything is changing,as we are heading into a service based world . Today you don't even have to bear the cost of ownership of vehicle as you just simply rent as per your needs.So why should a super bike be an exception?! and why should an average call center guy in Bangalore should be labelled as a talker for fulfilling his passion for a short period?!

Here in Canada, big bore bikes are expensive, but insurance you have to rob bank's. Even here in Canada, it taken me 2 years of saving put down payment on my new 2020 KTM 1290R Super Duke. Theirs many great older superbikes from the early 2000, I collect older bike paying next to nothing after 5 year's, such as 2002 CBR 954RR this is one great motorcycle that 90% people will never ride it to it's potential.

For someone it's really a big deal to own a superbike that they dreamed it from childhood.
