Also, there is false doctrine out there that baptism saves you. No it does not. It’s a work. We are saved by grace first, then the works come after salvation. Should we be baptized? As a Christian, I absolutely believe what you said about Faith in Christ as our Lord and Savior for our assurance to go to heaven. I have a question though, using the simpliest definition of the way to heaven like you have in this video, can't a Jehovah's witness believe they are going to heaven?
@cwojtas4222Ай бұрын
Don’t Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that only 144,000 people go to heaven, and that in order to secure the place they have to recruit people and share the gospel? I’m asking because I’m not 100% sure but if that is the truth then that’s a workplace gospel and they’re not trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
@John14-6...Ай бұрын
@cwojtas4222 Yes, there are many reasons why they are not Christians who trust in the finished work of Christ. The main one being they don't believe in his divinity. What I was saying using his simple definition it becomes a little harder to differentiate between a believer and someone like this.
@seanh70Ай бұрын
His simple definition is the narrow road. JW’s do not put their faith in Christ and what he did on the cross for them, to get to heaven. They will be the ones that say at the judgment “look what we did in your name”.
@ribread9501Ай бұрын
They have to believe in the true Christ -- and that means ALL that He said He is. Faith = trust. In placing your faith in Christ as Lord and Savior it means you have to believe everything He said; including that He is the Son of God. If you do not, then Him being Savior and Lord would have no ground. The sacrifice would not hold. Therefore, that's why it's very important that we preach the truth.

God knows everyone who will repent and believe and be saved because of his foreknowledge. So it’s foreknowledge not predestination.
@bobsacamano3212Ай бұрын
Belief in Jesus requires both Him as Savior AND Lord. He will save you as He carries the sins for us BUT we must make Him our Lord too. “Lord” means He is our Master and we are His bond servant (slave). Our choices in how we live, say, think, treat others, etc…. MUST be done in what we know He expects from us. In other words, just saying Jesus is Lord and Savior without a change in ones behavior will not “justify” or “sanctify” you. That’s why Jesus said many, many will come to Him in that day and He will reject them… See Matt 7:17-27
@cwojtas4222Ай бұрын
That’s not correct. And you should finish the verse the verse as many will come to me in that day and say, Lord Lord, have we not prophesies in your name and cast out demons in your name and in your name and many great works. It’s talking about people who trusted themselves to go to heaven. What we must do is accept Jesus as our savior and repent when we repent, it means to change your mind. What are we changing our mind about? We are changing our mind about who got is and what he has done and what sin is. When we understand that we are sinners and sin as evil, and it separates us from God And we cannot ourselves so we need Jesus he becomes our Lord. The problem with what you said is that it requires obedience. But how much obedience? That’s the thing we are saved through our good or our obedience through the finished work of Jesus Christ only. Because we could never be obedient enough to get to heaven. I do agree that Christians will obey God. But also to differing and varying degrees. Also disobedient Christians, who have believed and then kind of just stray I believe that they are still saved, but they will be chastised.
@bobsacamano3212Ай бұрын
I agree with you as you point out the “savior” part of who Jesus is. What about Him being “Lord”? What does that mean to you is the question that should beasked by all. Today’s pastors tell people that God loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives, but that is only half the truth. God also hates sin and will punish unrepentant sinners with eternal torment. No gospel presentation is complete if it avoids or conceals those facts. Any message that fails to define and confront the severity of personal sin is a deficient gospel. And any “salvation” that does not alter a lifestyle of sin and transform the heart of the sinner is not the salvation God’s word speaks of.
@cwojtas4222Ай бұрын
@ i agree and disagree. I believe if we lined up to John the Baptist and the thief on the cross based on lives lived obviously there will be Christian’s who did very little so . We shouldn’t focus too much on that . Justification 1st then sanctification

Water baptism is not required for salvation. That is a work of obedience. It cannot save you. Faith in Jesus saves “by grace are we saved through faith“ every verse that talks about salvation, talks about faith. When Jesus spoke to Nicodemus, and he said you must be born againagain” he didn’t say three times he said twice they were talking about your physical birth and your spiritual birth. Baptism in water is not required for salvation. It is required to be an obedient Christian and should be your first act. See the thief on the cross.

This was Martin Luther's delema. He feared that under Catholic doctrine he could not be guaranteed salvation and might be tortured for eternity in Hell. Must have done something appallingly evil. His solution was to bring hundreds of years of religious war to Europe and millions of murders. He decided Heaven and Hell were not dependent on behavior but on predestination. You are born saved or damned. If damned you can live a saintly life and still be tortured for eternity. Likewise Hitler may been born saved and now is gloriously happy in heaven. Luther decided he was born saved and no longer had to worry about his appallingly crime. And the millions his action doomed were saved or damned. Nothing on earth matters.
