The African Americans who are eligible for 2%-3% interest rates are very few and they're not interested in collectively investing in Africa. Colonization has programmed us not to work together. We're breaking that spell. Soon come🇬🇭
@py202 жыл бұрын
True. And they don't even need to invest in Africa. How about coming together to invest in the US for their own benefit? There's so much power in synergy; yet we don't take advantage of it, preferring instead to operate in silos with little to nothing to show for. And it's not just AAs; most Blacks/Africans around the world are like that and it's sad.

TRUE.This back to Africa movement is a FALLACY and MYTH.You have over 40 million African Americans in the US and only about 100,000 if not less visit Africa on a yearly basis.PEOPLE SHOULD STOP DECEIVING THEMSELVES

The Senegal born American singer "AKON" was one of younger generation pioneers promoting Africa to the world. Wode Maya notably followed suit. Wode did not start off promoting Africa until after several suggestive comments from a viewer called "Self-Emancipation" that he focuses on the goodness and opportunities within Africa and its culture. Lest we forget: Wode Maya started off as a returning young Ghanaian who studied in China and was fluent in Chinese language(s). Wode was mainly sharing his life experiences as a student in China, and show casing his Chinese girl friends. His KZbin postings served as a novelty to most viewers as we rarely see or hear Africans, particularly students, speaking Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese etc.) Fortunately for Wode, he listened and took up the brilliantly positive idea....Hi-lighting Africa! Bravo... Keep it up.

I can see the stress something on his face, he has taken on a big job which require many sacrifices so that cannot be easy and it's obvious he is sincere in the mision to continue to uplift the once greatest continent to rise again .

Wode Maya hammered on my point. There are lots of Africans in the diaspora who can cough $50,000 each, but they will never come together to build an empire. They’d rather invest in companies that are already established, thinking 💭 it will make them profit. We can’t be rich with that mindset. We hardly trust each other because of our experience. We should be willing to partner and build empires.
@aria48242 жыл бұрын
its hard to invest 50k and then get a return on that 50k in ghana. every thing in ghana is over priced , sadly a 50k investment would go further in other countries and you would see a better return than doing so in ghana.
@TheSENYO2 жыл бұрын
@@aria4824 absolutely true. Actually if you invest 50k dollars 💵 in Ghana 🇬🇭 you might just end up with wasting it. My idea 💡 was coming together. Two heads are better than one. So say 10 people come together with 50k that’s $500k to invest in building an empire in Ghana 🇬🇭. Think of something great to invest in. However other countries are more enabling so why not. Ghana 🇬🇭 is becoming too expensive
@selassietetevie49662 жыл бұрын
@@TheSENYO lots of opportunities outside Accra in Agribusiness, tourism, light industry. 50k is more than enough, you have to live sensibly and in budget, if you come thinking of going into another luxury sector service in Accra,and want to live in a plush gated community with a pool, of course it will not be enough.
@AbdulJawula2 жыл бұрын
If you invest in Africa and aren’t willing to be on ground and monitor what is going on you are likely to lose it. Diasporans come with money and think that the money will do the work for them.
@selassietetevie49662 жыл бұрын
@@AbdulJawula true,because a lot that return think they should not get their hands dirty,that they need to impress people they are an improvement on those who live here.so they don't want to be in the same position, they want to hire people to run their businesses because usually its a modest business, and are shy of being seen to be hustling, they want to sit in a comfortable office and command staff.this puts them at a disadvantage as a business person.

@selassietetevie49662 жыл бұрын
Excellent interview, my take is that local youtubers should highlight other parts of Ghana, Accra is saturated with investors in the services sector, to be able to compete with modest capital is hard. There's opportunities outside Accra,places like Sunyani, Tamale, Keta,Winneba, Adam,Axim,Donkorkrome,you name it.you can find profitable things to do.they will not be luxurious, and you will be missing your friends and clubs,and if you have kids ,the kinds of schools you want.but if you go as a group and build a community you will have impact and a better chance of staying. Areas of opportunity. Agribusiness. Farm equipment rentals and services to small farmers, modernisation of traditional enterprises, making premium akpeteshie, sobolo, pito for export to other African countries. Eco and Adventure tourism, Theme park based on local Attractions. You name it. Of course you can't easily succeed if the road is too bad and certain barriers ,but if you spend time in the "bush" and think creatively you will see opportunities.

I agree to disagree his 3 points are not valid at all. having lived in Ghana and seeing everything for myself. 1. the ghana government doesn't help other ethnic groups who come to ghana to set up businesses 2. they come with cash investments as no country will loan u money to invest in another country. ( that statement he made is false. 3rd. the other so called ethnic groups do not come to ghana with other people and set up businesses.....they do it individually majority of the time. whether it be a mall, whether it be a resteraunt....therefore this is misinformation as per usual. the conclusion is other ethnic groups do well because they don't ask for charity from others, and they work hard to save money and then start a business...this is favts. whether its the Chinese Lebanese indians there....they do it on their own off their own backs....no help. no low interest rates as implied.

I agree. That comment made me raise an eyebrow. We are never going to be given loans to take out of the country. That's not happening unless we talking about the top 1 percent of us who have the wealth to justify the loan to a bank. With that being said African Americans have the 2nd or 3rd largest GDP per Capita in the world(amongst black peoples) and so the average middle class black Americans can definitely come together, buy land and build a block or 2 at a time but not a whole city. The US dollar stretches far and we could make a big impact if we banded together but there's no $1 million loans sitting around for us... Sorry Wode 😂

The point you are making is that the African currencies have no value! Cant you understand that a country where the currency is devaluing every day is a problem ? Its an advantage to people who have foreign currency only . There's little or no advantage to Africans whose money buys less and less every day. The world is a global market. We buy cars from Japan , chocolate from Ghana , planes from Britain, Oil from Nigeria yet one cannot even use cedi in neighboring Nigeria and vice versa . Until the Governments provide the basics water ,roads , electricity ,hospitals, affordable housing , any gains in Africa are personal only it does not reach the average African! You and I can bring in our foreign currency build our mansions and business, but the standard of living of the average African is getting worst!

Well said !!!! I can not comprehend why others don't see this. People are becoming more and more delusional by the day....and it's very disturbing. For example you bild your house, get a car...do it up all nice and then what???? I have an idea open up a KZbin channel like all these folks and we can all ask for donations!!!!
