How can you tell if you gave your cattle enough forage, Greg shares what to look for! When you walk into your herd there are certain clues that you should be looking for to ensure they are full and content. In this video, I go over those items.
Looking for a South Poll herd bull, check out the 4 bulls we have on our website by clicking here: greenpasturesfa...

You could aerate the pond with a windmill or solar aerator to keep the mossy stuff down. It worked with my pond.

Some well content bulls. I know my cows will tell me when they are ready to move to the next paddock. I love being with my cows and calves, so relaxing. Merry Christmas to Judy family!

I loved walking in your bull herd and your cow herd. It perfectly illustrated how my sheep flock ought to behave.

Merry Christmas! You know when you aren’t feeding them enough. They will moo at you too. They follow you everywhere too. When you move them to a new area, they start eating right away. Another way to look at it too. If they are full, they won’t move for you. You have to push them into the next area. It’s been raining here all afternoon and I can tell it’s helping the soil with moisture a lot. Tomorrow I’m hoping to put a lot of posts in before it freezes.

Greg when are you going to go post an interview with Ian Michellinnis (sp?)? You've been talking about him for years, it would be nice to put a face to a name. Your interview with Teddy Gentry earlier this year was cool AF. Merry Christmas, Man.

not all grass carp are non reproducing! some states can still sell the diploid(reproducing) carps, make sure they're triploid before introducing to prevent them taking over and possibly spreading to other local waterways. Thank you again for another helpful and educating video Greg!

Hey Greg, you know the real distinction between a big pond or a small lake? Pretty simple actually- It all depends upon if you're buying or selling. Saw some creek front property offered as river front down here-wasn't even a big creek-pretty much dry in summertime. Bought Mom some girlie Hisea boots, she loves 'em.

Pond is starting to open up so you can enjoy it, and sun can get in. Going to look very good when you get through. Maybe you can go back and show other ponds and areas you have done. Before and after pictures would be wonderful. Blessings

I can testify to the fact that Greg animals are not aggressive I felt perfectly safe standing in his pasture surrounded by cattle. Scott and I share that philosophy and are eating to cows.

Greg don't over work yourself you need to bring the boys over to help you achieve this cleanup project, more hands helping will make your project go quicker and it will be easier on your body.

These type projects give me my cardiovascular workout for the day. I actually feel better on days that I use more than normal muscle exercises. Using a chainsaw and dragging and stacking brush allows you to use muscles that normally are not used. Reminds me also if my good ole days when I first started with nothing!

If you aren't nice to Greg, you get eaten. I will make sure to remember that if I ever have the opportunity to visit the farm. 😅

You would enjoy a story I heard about a couple farm boys, ages approx. 6-10. The older one was stomping around mad about something. The younger one said you better stop acting mean or mom will band you. LOL

We can grow grass down to the waters edge now. Instead of bare dirt we will have a carpet of grass to catch and hold the rain water. The invasive mother trees of Autumn olive that bare fruit all over our pastures will be gone. No more seed source. The brush around the pond has also encapsulated our hot wire which is drawing down our voltage on the farm.

I just bought part of Raejean and Jerry's farm. Its been pasture land since 1910. We are putting in a pond that will be run off and spring fed. I keep the nicest roosters only...if they won't give me a kiss back when I pick em up to snuggle they get sold to someone who doesn't want to kiss em.
