The Infinity Gauntlet responds ONLY to it's wielder. No one else has access to the Gauntlet's power even if they are touching it. Power absorption does NOT work on the Gauntlet. It didn't in the comics and it didn't in the movies nor the animation. In the comics, virtually ALL of the Celestial Beings can absorb power. None did and they were all trapped. In the animated show What If? No one did. In the Movie, Iron Man's armor was designed to absorb energy and it didn't, even when he had both hands on it. There is absolutely NOTHING to suggest that she absorbed the power of the Gauntlet. NOTHING. She glows? There are plenty of times where she glows. If she was absorbing the Gauntlet's power, she would have been vastly more powerful than Thanos since he was NOT actually using them at the time. She could have thought him out of existence or blasted him out of existence, but instead, she stopped him from snapping and tried to talk the Gauntlet. So the idea of that makes ZERO sense. Now…keep in mind that we see a Thanos which is different than his comic book portrayal. Thanos doesn't throw powerful blasts from his eyes or hands. Everything he does is with sword or fists or feet or head. All brute force or martial arts. She is empowered by a force stronger than him so she was overpowering him. That's why he moved the stone to his other hand, activated it, and punched her away. He didn't activate a stone before that when fighting her.
