Very informative. I have heard this complaint about service centres many times that our car's good condition parts are fitted into other customer's car and his old part is fitted into our car. Is there a way to find this out? Since we are not charged, I am not sure how to check if any such mischief is done.

changing oil is not easy task. Also changing the brake fluid. You have remove the old oil first and then fill it with new oil. Its not topping up. Its changing oil. The good way is check the oil color in a white cloth before giving the car to service and once it comes back check the oil color again. The later should be stain free.

Exactly, Trident Hyundai experience for me is same, my car run just 2500km due to covid not much in use since lockdown, went in for 2nd free service they asked for ac filter/engine oil/wheel alignemnt/adj. I was shocked with the way they systematically loot. I rejected all those still they charge some 700/- yet to get detailed invoice. What are we changing into working for targets ?

Raghu ji you fell for the free service trap.. no diesel or petrol engine needs service at 2500kms unless you have felt issues.. I'd say go with your guts if you know car engine basics.. Basically, post sale first 3 services are a conformative requirement for the brand and the manufacturer.. this is basically their way of generating data for failure analysis which you paid them to have. There are good reasons why the paperwork is there. But, if you know your vehicle and have a basic understanding, just skip the schedule it's not going to do much good. The wheels align to your personal driving style and terrain.. nature's way .. if you're re-alligning it again and again your introducing early failure of parts. Unless it's not working the way it should skip it. Specially if you have an Indian manufacturers car. Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Suzuki (better than others) take Indian customers for a ride even after they sold you the car. If anything is wrong at 2500 kms and zero accidents or external force you should claim free replacement... It shouldn't fail so early.

Na bhai go for technical.. 70% Indians are good at maths aur nahi toh ek unfair competitive exam diya rahega. This is absolutely true.. dealers really earn with service. Understand this, internal combustion engines give cues for what service is needed. Simply change engine oil regularly, replace oil filter and please replace air filter don't clean it. Find the trusted pump for good quality fuel. Don't and I can't stress enough.. never allow anyone you don't know personally touch your engine... There is no need to open the engine without reason. Mostly you'll get after service issues with sensors etc.. if you follow the manual blindly.

@@harshit7747 In my 1st service the service advisor sold me extended warranty and P2P AMC. While I did not regret buying those as they ensured a peace of mind for an extended period. However even after 60K they didn't wanted to change the clutch and brake as they said they were in excellent condition and can run another 40K kms easily. I had to make some calls and eventually got them replaced since I had already paid for them in AMC. I believe if your driving habit is good, I believe there is no point in taking amc packages for a petrol car. I also didn't had to do any work under extended warranty. Coming to the car Tata Tigor, mine has run 64k+ kms in almost 44 months and there is yet to have any problems and I am extremely happy with my car. I always do servicing from Tata Authorized service center and the car is driven only by myself.

Check your manual. Service schedule along with what needs to be done & what is not should clearly be mentioned there. Check that and if it does not say wheel alignment, you can skip it. Also, second free service is a small time frame for wheel alignment.

Hi Rachit, Thank u for making such a infomative video on Servicing that every1 needs to know. Many dealers fool people during servicing. Anyways i would just like to ask u one thing. I have a elite i20. Problem is that many at times during highway run whenever i do above 120 my car's AC stops working. It just stop throwing air out. I have to switch it on n off after every 5 mins. But it automatically starts working all fine the next day. This problem i have faced 7-8 times now whenever m on highways. But this thing has never ever happened in city driving. Pls suggest what has to do done. M worried the car servicing people might fool me by giving a big bill for no work done. Thank u.

Hello Amarjeet Let's look at this way, in terms of a safe bet, Brezza is the best option. It will have the best resale value. But Nexon leads in plastic quality, features, space, Warranty (Nexon - 2years, 75,000kms - Brezza 2yrs, 40,000kms), service interval (15000 for Nexon, 10000 for Brezza) and even power is more on the Nexon.

Is it as effective as oil flush ? Also Can I use synthetic oil for a performance boost, after around 6k-7k kms ? Please revert. P.S. I own the new Hyundai Verna Petrol.

hello, just 3800+ km completed in my sister activa 4G. we went for 3rd service but they are telling that air filter & spark plug will be replaced with new ones. but when I said there is no issues in activa but they simply said these parts needs to replace. we came back and should we replaced it or not ??
