Hi al How critical are outriggers in your opinion? If you have them are they definitely worth using and what is the general theory behind them ?....

Depends what you chase. For most trailerboats they are critical because they spread your lures and get them outside the wake in the cleaner water

Some great tips there Al! I have 2 questions. On your chart plotter screen you show a heat map of the water temperature. Is this something that is specific to the electronics you use or is this something everyone can get? Also, is it something you need mobile reception or will it work in remote locations? Gday Dave you can put colour SST charts on the furuno but yes it is through the internet. The colours your seeing on my plotter in the vid was bottom mapping
