Really great video. I find that I chase perfection in most areas of my life especially games, and it only leads to me being dissapointed by myself. Perfection doesn't exist, so I'm trying to stop chasing it and starting to focus on constant improvement and learning from mistakes instead of letting them weigh me down or being scared of them. There is definitely a fine line between self improvement and perfectionism and trying to seperate the two can be tough. Would love to see more videos like this, keep up the good work!

I wished i followed you sooner, when you played at MOUZ, i tought you are really underrated, and actually when i discuss players w/ friends etc, we look at statistics, not as the whole of the game, and i always said that "styko is really good, no one is perfect, but the role and the gamesense (toughts of the game) are insane... You are really good person, and as i see a teammate aswell, who cares about winning as a whole and not as solo pride. (Wich is difficult to have that mindset)... Basicly i reviewed some of your results and performances , and was amazed. Role player or star player, you try to play what you feel more confortable ofc (Mouz wasnt the case).. This mindset video is actually so good, i can rekon with most of the topics, even i dont take cs that seriously (because im bad ofc) and i have the negative mindset , that i become only worst, but thats actually my mindset irl aswell. Keep up Styko ! Hope you achieve your goals even more... Hope to see you on more t1 cs. Good luck at the major!

This is very cool coming from someone with such accolades in the scene. I struggle with this in both my day to day life and games. It always helps to hear someone you look up to share their stories.

Really loved this video Styko! Was on the road to becoming a salaried player in Valorant but my perfectionism got the best of me and I burned myself out, had a break of half a year and giving it a shot again. This video will support me a lot in this journey once more

Amazing. Ive found myself in the same position of not being able to ever be satisfied with my performance so i constantly try to tweak things or try new mice or setups and end up being super inconsistent for sometime until im comfortable again. I can have 30 amazing fragging games and if i have bad game/match i end up changing sens or mouse thinking it will resolve it. Its a bad habit ive had for years and was not able to get rid of until recently. Thanks for your insights

Hey styko. 16k+ hours in competitive fps games, ~6k in cs. I'm really struggling with improving my 'b' and 'c' game. On T side I can't seem to find any impact without risking too much. CT side I get rolled even when in strong positions. I'm losing 70/30 theoretically advantageous fights ~65% of the time - and lose 50/50's ~80% of the time. The mechanics that I've trained just won't show up :/

Great video styko! Myself as a lurker/support player in my teams I always chase perfectionism and feel that I am in charge of punishing any aggressive move at my territories or trying to support my team by cutting the map in half so they all focus on the other area on an endgame. I always learn every possibility and every play someone can throw at me but as you mentioned, I'm not going any passive at all. I understand how to recover rounds taking 40%success aim duels, or even know when to push for backstab, early rotation kill to cause paranoia and overall I know when to take initiative but I mostly struggle recovering on mistakes. I rarely do one. But I don't just tilt at mine but mostly at my teammates because I'm also IGLing and help micro managing people that feel "lost" or don't know what they should do or expect during a default. I get easily irritated by these kind of mistakes and that's honestly my biggest liability as a teammate. I always provide my teammates huge amount of info playing aggressively on ct and a lot of information about rotations and map presence on t side. Any suggestion?!

Your audio bad, either change rooms or maybe you can remove the echo, use an EQ and try and listen for where the echo is and lower the volume around that frequency. You could Google remove echo from audio
