Nothing he said was necessarily false. A company copied his name and called it "Bobby Fischer Plays Chess", without his permission which is bound to anger anybody. He was harassed and was told he had Tourette's syndrome by those who opposed him after he quit the game due to his authenticity on sensitive topics. Regardless of you mentioning that those who feel he was misunderstood, and wasn't, he still is misunderstood and its evident you didn't do enough research before making this video, either that, or you are unable to understand the nuance of his points and thus come to shallow conclusions like this one. Almost every genius in this world is held in contempt, this is exemplified by a lot of geniuses, such as Nietzche, Schopenhauer, Musk, Tesla; it is akin to people hating the wealthy and the elite. People come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories about our elites in society for the same exact reason that they criticise Fischer and his brilliance. Jealousy and a complete ignorance to the possibility that normality should be critiqued. I should outline to you also, that introversion is so very common for those who fall into the genius category. It's not a surprise that you find it strange that he spent time playing against himself to improve at the game, it's not normal. People tend to hate those which they do not understand, value mediocrity and authority, and find those with a higher intellectual capacity than them in a light of strangeness. He disrespected people and had a low amount of emotional intelligence; there's no denying that. However, you misunderstand genius for crazy because you are not able to understand something so far beyond yourself and your own psyche. With all due respect, I suggest you listen to Fischer speak, there are plenty of videos out there of him speaking on many topics outside of chess, he also critiqued the game heavily. Take this comment as some constructive advice, if possible, it was not made out of malice. Cheers:)

Chess doesn't make you go crazy. Trauma, isolation, guilt and heavy metals do. If anything Chess was one of the things maintaining his sanity, and when he lost faith in it, he got really troubled as it was wrapped up in his entire identity. That's such bullcrap. People don't get schizophrenia from concentration. It's a host of factors, most of it involving stress. The only thing you could say, is that maintaining a reputation in the Chess World causes onsets of Psychosis, and that's if your genetically predisposed to it, as it would also cause heart disease or depression or other illness too, due to the stress of having to maintain a reputation. But that's it. Add psychology to the list of many things we've lost our grasp of. Like we see the same thing in all celebrities. It's just having the spotlight on you makes you a target, and people are sensitive to what others think about them. And that's mostly for survival, as unless you become a sociopath and solitary predator or wolf pack, most people are herd animals, and need the herd to be sane, serenely feeding upon the grass and pastures (They don't like strife). Which, is why we're called "Sheep" in scripture. The most saintly keeps their herding instinct, though they've been excluded by everyone.
