Our neighboring country Pakistan, in today's time, is standing on the verge of bankruptcy. In such a situation, even China, a special friend of Pakistan, is not supporting it. The biggest reason for which is the failure of the CPEC project. CPEC ie China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which was started under China's BRI ie Belt and Road Initiative. And this CPEC was a project connecting China's northwestern Xinjiang to Gwadar port in Pakistan's western province of Balochistan, a route of about 3,000 km. Which would have directly connected China to the Arabian Sea, which would have made it much easier for China to reach Arab countries and Africa, and at the same time China would have been able to demonstrate its power in the Indian Ocean.
For this reason, after the start of the CPEC project in the year 2013, Pakistani people were assured that the CPEC project would become the foundation of Pakistan's development and this plan would bring development and employment in Pakistan. Above all, the leaders of Pakistan also believed that new industries will be created in the country with this project, due to which the country's exports will increase and Pakistan's Gwadar port will become Dubai, after which Pakistan will repay all its debt and good days will come for Pakistan.
But looking at the current situation, this project seems to be a complete failure for Pakistan and China! Because this CPEC was started in 2013 i.e. 10 years ago and till now $ 69 billion has been spent on it! And to start this project, most of the money was given by China as loan to Pakistan. But today the whole world knows about the economy of Pakistan, how it is running? And according to the IMF, the CPEC project was the project to bring Pakistan's economy into a bad phase. CPEC project is a white elephant for Pakistan! Which is slowly swallowing the Pakistani economy. Apart from this, according to some media groups, China has also raised its hands from the CPEC project. So the biggest question here is that despite this CPEC project being so important for China, why did China give up on this project?
