@@SApcGUY @AHMED ZERROUKI actually many years ago, it was first Dyanmic Host Control Protocol, so for those of us who have been involved in IT for the last couple decades, it's still often said to be CONTROL PROTOCOL. The terminology is irrelevant as long as you understand the mechanics of it.

Nice video, on roaming devices, is it possible when domain laptops are out of the network, to use the roaming light program already installed on endpoints to route all DNS requests to OpenDns even when these endpoints are connected to their own home internet/public Wi-Fi? Hence protecting the endpoints against the next time they come into corporate network?

The roaming client is exactly for this purpose. It comes as a lightweight application or as a module in AnyConnect. The application changes your local DNS serttings to send traffic to 127.0.0.1 and the application picks it up, encrypts it and sends direct to the portal.

@@comfy_rwds The RC does not connect to the VA in the office unless you connect over VPN. It uses a unique Identifier on the application.

Riad, I believe that once you sign up with Umbrella, all you have to do is change DNS settings. If you have VPN setup there is a small application that is installed for OFF network users. (I could be wrong)

It is a SaaS platform you just log into to the portal and this is installation. You take your public IP in the portal and change your recursive DNS to 208.67.222.222 and you are then done in basic form.
