If only Sega used this kind of design inspiration for the classic Sonic models in Generations and Forces. Sega seems to forget Sonic always had that attitude, which made it into his designs. The current designs look like a cute little baby, which is NOT how classic Sonic looked. Go back and look at all the marketing artwork for sonic, rewatch SatAM, rewatch the Sonic CD cutscenes, etc. I appreciate their attempts, but they still don't get it right. You definitely have the right idea in this animation. Oh and don't get me started on the physics.

As far as I know, Toei actually had no involvement in the Sonic OVA, Toei Sonic is the Sonic that appears in the Sonic CD cut scenes, which were infact animated by Toei. Movie sonic has shorter spikes than Toei Sonic, and is a bit taller.

Fire and Ice isn't a bad game. Sadly it didn't do enough to differentiate itself from Shattered Crystal's formula, despite F&I improving greatly on it. Perhaps a third attempt would get it right, but sadly I don't see that happening now that the 3DS is pretty much on its way out and there's no way in hell a 2D Sonic Boom game will be released on consoles and PC.
