England isn't the only place that has a rat problem I here that New York city is full of them too. When the farmers get the corn out of the fields every year around my house I always have mice that try to come to my home so I fixed that problem quick like I got me some outside cats let them go & they take care of that for me just about everyday they bring dead mice on my porch & leave them right by my front door I get them put em in the trash thank them with special treats & they go get more lol.

emma I'm french but i'll try my best to be understandable in english. in reality it is not the rats that carry the diseases especially the one causing the plague, but their parasites ^^ like fleas and mites...the same you can find on your dog, or cat (exactly the same !!!) or for the case of fleas they are the same that some persons with very poor hygiene can carry on armpits or pubic hair ! and if ever a rat is ill, their system is so different that he mostly will cure in a couple days , or die in a couple days. it is a shame people learn so many received opinions about rodents vehiculated by this sort of voyeuristic tv shows.

I should say that I live in a huge rural community with loads of horses and livestock around. I had my spray bottle handy, so I shot a spritz of water at the fly. I DROWNED it with a single spray! @deniseg-hill17306 жыл бұрын
The increase in rats is because of the increase in fast food debris plus food litter everywhere and the food waste bins outside restaurants, also people who ignore the rules and don't care where they dump their rubbish. I used to work for Tower Hamlets Council housing dept. Cockroaches were a big problem as well. Some of the shops were and still are disgusting. The cockroach eggs were in the bottom of sacks of rice. Just take a walk up Brick lane, and there are plenty of streets like it. The council's drains and sewers dept used to carry out regular cleaning of drains etc. Then privatisation came in. Same with Pest control. These depts were far better before privatisation.

So, I’m from AB, Canada. We are a rat free province. However, if you don’t dispose of trash properly in many places you’ll find bears in your yard. Rarely, they’ll break into homes and raid the fridge. After watching this, I’m honestly not sure which is worse.

the better question is the rats with poison die near water sources, farms, your veggie garden and it poisons your family or your neighbors family. poison isn't an answer. it's toxic to humans. best to use cats and dogs
@annehaight99636 жыл бұрын
Anything that eats the dead rats will also be poisoned. The blood-thinning poison is basically warfarin, and the show is not quite honest about how it works. Basically the rats bleed internally. It's not a very nice death. It's best to use snap traps or electrocution traps. Both work -- I've used them successfully. They kill instantly and humanely. DO NOT USE GLUE TRAPS. Glue traps are indiscriminate and they will kill birds, lizards, insects, squirrels, and anything else that gets stuck in them.
