It is really hard to tell. IR sensors don't work that well really close up. It is also dependent on the material you are using. The closest readings we took were at 7.5 centimeters. This was about 6%. I explain IR sensors more at 2:47 in this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHO7YYaHqqd4j5Y
