I'm in Michigan and ride all winter long. I mostly stick to regular bikes since I generate more of my own heat. My current low-temp riding record is -15°F, but frequently ride in the teens and 20's with no issues. Yesterday's ride started at 10° and ended at 14°. I have no idea what the wind chill is since I pay no attention to it. I was warm as toast at those temps, I dress in layers and have my winter gear down to a science. Today's ride was in the 20s and I wore fewer layers and was still completely comfortable.

Michigan here. The only thing stopping me is wet and/or salty roads. For cold temps, I will dress appropriately and may need to limit exposure time.

The wind chill from moving fast has me slowing down when the temperature is below 50 F. or 40. If its 30, I'm not riding.

At some point electric vehicles have trouble dealing with cold, but I don't know what it is. I've seen it on other channels where they've dropped 80% range because it's so cold the battery doesn't work right.

Fingers, nose and ears get too cold when under 40 F with wind chill. To ride comfortably, I wear a liner inside gloves, plus UV mask over ears and face. If any colder I think the battery performance will drop significantly and high risk of sliding on ice. Much respect to those who go out in freezing temps.

I haven't found a temp that I was said no to. Granted I've never lived in a real cold area. The coldest temps are late at night so not riding then. I have riden in zero visibly as in on a non electric bike I couldn't see a stop sign even with three headlights.

In central Illinois I ride if the wind is below 20 mph and temp is near 30. Light snow ok , ice not ok. Been a good winter so far. I ride 10 mi daily for exercise. I use a fleece electric vest . Usually set to med or low. Use layers including a wind block layer. Rain cover on helmet with beanie and gaiter. Full finger gloves. Getting dressed is part of my exercise routine. Soon to be 76.

I am in Alberta, Canada. I am looking into getting an ebike that I can ride all year around. I think for me, it would be anything below -18c or -1F. With very little or no wind. It can get much colder than that here, but generally, it is warmer than that. This winter has been very mild, with the exception of about 2 weeks of extreme cold 40 plus below. I just watched a fellow Brit make a 45 minute journey in Finland where he now lives in -17c or 0f on icy and snow-covered roads, and he did just fine.

I don’t ride in snow and ice and I won’t ride in wind more than 25 mph, but I’ll ride pretty cold otherwise. The wind is more a question of getting pushed around than making me cold, I have lots of hills and it’s dangerous to come up over a hill and get blasted all of a sudden in some random direction. In terms of pure temperature, I’d probably give it up around 10F. In those cases, I’m generally just running an errand, so 10-15 minutes of riding each way. I’m generally on an EUC, so it gets to come in and warm up a bit, too.

I live in Michigan and my cut off is 10 degrees F. I only drive about 2 miles a day. I have my AR X-52 set up with knobby tires that can handle 4-5 inches of snow. I also have a V3 Grizzly sitting in my garage that I will ride in the Spring. I also just bought a 60 volt Wicked Freedom also being stored until the snow and salt on the roads disappear. I always store all batteries inside my home and until needed for a ride. The battery range and top speed really get hit hard in the colder Winter weather as expected.

Im back for another one. When I saw this title, I was like, I def have to share my story, I will start off by saying I live in Massachusetts, so it def gets cold out here, but I was riding last week and it was maybe 35-38 degrees, and for some reason my dumb butt thought that it was warm enough to ride without gloves, I was riding for a good 45 - 1 hr, by the time I got home my hands where frost bit (more like frozen extra cold) but I couldnt feel my fingers for a least 20 mins, i was almost bout to cry my hands hurt so bad, so to cold is more how is the wind, bc that wind was the real reason my hands froze.
