How Comfortable Are They? Ranking Asics Gel 1130 VS Nike Vomero 5 Sneakers

Have you tried the Nike Vomero 5 or Asics Gel 1130?

Haven't done neither. Only time I needed a Vomero is the A cold wall collab back then. With the giant heel. I keep it 1 hundo.. if I don't rock with em as a jitterbug I don't hop on the wave cause they wavey. Them Vomero used to go on sale and were dork kicks and same with them shapes of asics. Imma admit now that we look at these pairs differently today. They are cool/fly. Imma just let yall rock em though. I saw a frat kid rocking them asics and I got reminded of the birkenstock/blazer era and said "I'm good" When the kids are on em... I go the other way. Always been that way for me. When the kids got on Airforce one... was no way in hell I was going to cop some all whites. Can't do it.

I have ASICS Gel 1130 I live in a downtown big city walked miles in them, I guarantee the Vomeros are more comfortable. Funny thing is, my location is perfect. I'm going to walk 4 minutes down the street to the Detroit Nike Community Store, and try on Vomeros

@@youngyouny I actually disagree. When heads were rocking all whites around me mid 90s I was rocking those puffy vans and what airwalk was dropping at the time. And I still cop airwalk. Everyone else who is cool with trying trends can totally enjoy and try new things. I like new things to. But if I've already seen something before... knowingly passed on it, hard pass even like I have them dork asics as we called em back then or all white forces... I TOTALLY stick with my guns and pass on the trend. I don't purchase based off of trend. When Forever 21 had airwalk stuff I copped. Jcpenney had the vision street wear skate stuff from the 80s I copped. Vomero5? Passed on em when they were a decent jogging model offered from Nike and I'm a cross country runner. So yeah pass. But Nike waffle 2 and such? Those were my jawn early 2000s as vintage looking running shoes have always been my lane. Again nothing wrong with trying new trends I simply don't. I feel trendy that I love shoes and buy all assorted types but I do love sneakers. Tennis shoes are my thing with K Swiss SI-18 being my favorite shoe. I wouldn't mind it being a trend one day. They did try. It flopped.

For me it’s all about 3 sneakers right now. ASICS GEL NYC 2055’s, New Balance 9060’s, and New Balance 1906R. Nike doesn’t deserve to be on my priority list. They’ve let me down far too many times. And Nike isn’t worth their insane prices.

Asics Gel Kayano 14 vs Vomeros would be a better battle as they are both around the same price point. 1130s are the best bang for your buck comfort shoes IMO. Love this comfort battle that you are doing man. Keep it Up!

I agree with you about the Kayano 14 being a better fit vs the vomero, but Huaraches can be had for less than all of these and are more comfortable. I think those are the best bang for the $ sneaker.

I have both pairs, and Vomeros are the first weird shoes that I’ve had. They feel like they’re small and large at the same time. Despite my feet being size 9US, I had to change them twice down to 8US and then stretch them at a shoe repair shop. It’s still not that comfortable but at least my feet don’t hurt from long walks.

Both ASICS 1130 and Nike Vomero are in my daily rotation, but I think a better comparison would be the ASICS 1130 and Saucony Ride Millennium because they’re only $5 different.

It’s weird with the Vomeros I’ve had like 8 pair of them and the supersonic pair is by far and away the most comfortable of the ones I’ve had( I had the pair you featured in the video, the electric blue and green, etc). It is not a ranking about cost-benefit, just the most comfortable, this is independent of which has more technology, which is the most expensive, etc. the cheapest may be more comfortable than the most expensive, objectively. Not using prices for evaluation, it helps you understand how that price difference will really change your sneakers and comfort.
