I use Chat GPT to generate lists of questions to ask customers about their project, to generate lists of materials, lists of tools, actions plans for specific jobs. I have also used Chat GPT to educate myself about different products and applications such as adding polymers (what a polymer even is) to a mortar for an outdoor tile job. I've even used it to help me work out clauses for contracts to avoid unpleasant mix ups with the customer. For some reason it was horrible at making me a logo for a business card. It kept showing me a picture of a business card on a table, with the design I requested though often with spelling errors. I've looked into prompt engineering quite a bit and no matter how I reworded my request it was a huge waste of time haha so I made on from scratch on microsoft word.

I usually make sure to tell the GPT to take it's time, to think about each step one at a time, and I ask it to "show me your work" which causes the GPT to also add explanations for why you might need xyz tool or material or why you would want to ask a client a certain question. And I will also make special requests like "is there anything else I could possibly need for this job, I want to be prepared for anything" which will usually get the GPT to mention some senarios and solutions I maybe hadn't thought of. A simple example "ask the customer about parking or do they have any pets". I've been surprised more than a few times I was glad asked something suggested by the GPT. The important thing is it gets my brain going, especially after a long day or first thing in the morning it just helps get you going and provides some bumper lanes.

I currently use CHAT GPT to -Generate topics about home remodeling -write bulk of content in some cases -create chat bots for email and text response -create script responses to answers -combined with APRIM it can write blog post with key words that drives your website to the top of organic searchs. 😀 I Use some others for digital editing but not achieving what I need. I'm looking for an AI tool that you can have on your phone. Speak to it and take pictures of a jobsite. It will measure and recreate the full vision as well as the plans to get there. Material list with the cheapest location to buy in your area. Take it a step further with an execute button. Have it send emails to your subs, connect clients with subs for scheduling or having full material orders and printable blue prints. I've created something in sketch up and designed it in 3D goggles so...... come on we are not that far from connecting the dots to all these.
