How Could They Screw Up This Badly? No Man's Sky Singularity Expedition

No Man's Sky EXPEDITION TEN: SINGULARITY was supposed to be available for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and the New MAC Port As well.
However, in the Usual Hello Games Style, it all got messed up!
As Of Now, It's not Available On Nintendo Switch nor On Sony PlayStation.
Apple Intel Mac's are screwed as well and of course, the game is crashing over ALL available platforms most of the time! Sound like fun! NOT !

I've run the expedition all the way to the community milestone in phase 5 four times now. The last was today, streamed on Twitch. I've run it on gamepass and steam, no issues. the issue people are having with phase 4 is you can't go to the Atlas until you complete the Grand Dissonance milestone. It tells you in the bottom right corner but nobody's paying attention to it. The run today and the one yesterday were both done with network down on NMS, so that's not an issue

So weird, I literally played through the entire expedition with zero bugs, did it in a few hours, and everyone worked as intended

@@impiousity8441 finished as in sat at that last couple quests, but didn’t run in to any of the bugs being mentioned, it’s fairly easy to claim the rewards on pc though with the consumerism mod

indeed. And the idea HG doesn't fix bugs is pretty outrageous as well , they already put out a patch in experimental ( and they do so on a regular basis )

What's all this complaining for? All major NMS updates are hot messes. I'd be worried if it wasn't. lol. Sooner or later (or more like way later) they'll fix most of it.

All of the updates used to be a mess. However the past 3 or 4 are on another level and game crashing bugs introduced with them got NEVER fixed. That's what the complaining is all about.

I haven't had any issues other than I bounced out of the Atlas a couple of times while other people were entering until I got my turn to be sucked in. Aside from that, the only thing I've seen is people getting all upset about the time-gate on it. Nothing new. Don't like it, don't play. I'm kind of done with the hate at this point. I can only assume there are people having serious issues that most of us are not. Unfortunate and I can see how it would be frustrating. It's also hard to understand when I've got 4 different PCs and a laptop of widely different hardware and age that run this game with very few to no issues running Windows or Linux. If I hadn't been a hardware tech for so many years I wouldn't even believe it at all - but I realize the hardware is so varied out there, there's no way to account for everything. That's all I can think of.

No man's sky has had a major memory leak issue for a long time now that they refuse to fix, some times mins sometimes an hour but eventually ends up with low to very low fps and crashes.

I have done all previous expeditions. I have over 2500 hours into NMS. This is the first expedition I haven't started immediately. Actually, I'm bored to death of the NMS universe and can't bring myself to give a damn about the expedition.

I have abandoned the game as of 6 months ago. The 'updates' have FUBAR'd the game totally and things Im hearing about the changes is likely to make me DELETE my saved games and walk away in disgust. It was a GREAT game - whatsd the old saying? "IF IT AINT BROKEN DONT FIX IT" Hello games take note you need to RETRO the game BACK to 2022 settings - THE WHOLE LOT then get your programmers and coders to sit down and GROW BRAINS.....................THEN begin to update. Mine came threw on ps4 yesterday. I'm at phase 4. Played 4 hrs straight and only crashed twice. It's actually running smoother then intercepter at the moment. Wierd thing is the patch notes still say intercepter.

It's out for all platforms now besides switch. As always. I am not even playing on the switch but can you imagine having paid full price for that? It runs with like 15FPS and constantly crashes. They will never make this expedition run on that. Never. Full price.

From what I have seen the game basically crashes every single time after the interceptor update. Which is like what? Six weeks now. So they cannot play the game since six weeks. That is unacceptable. I am not even effected by this personally but you know.... consumer rights and stuff.

Been playing singularity today I’m currently between phase 4-5 as I’m waiting on my construct but I’ve been having frequent crashes on my Xbox one S today to the point it’s practically unplayable I’m planning to see if lowering all graphical settings will help but honestly it feels like there is too much for the game to load in one go and being around too many players at one like 3/4 in a system is also causing some issues too. Honestly this expedition is probably the worse performance one I’ve played though when I can play it is quite fun and interesting. Like Hello Games has to get themselves together they can’t pull off another day one launch situation again and if they start dragging their feet the player base won’t be too forgiving.

I haven't even watched the video but I already know what you are going to say. They patched this thing like seven times on steam to barely make it running. This expedition was already delayed two weeks and it's still messed up. It's finally out now for most platforms. But not switch. Switch players get shafted so hard. But at least hello games could squeeze out a little bit more money out of Mac players. Also why is the last task locked behind a MANDATORY community goal. This will take at least three more weeks and everyone is locked out from finishing the expedition until then. Thanks Hello games. Very cool. I love waiting around for nothing.

Dude I can’t even start phase 5 because the planet is cramped full of player bases with a titan worm and black smoke storms. AND agree I’ve sentinels. What were they thinking?? I’m on Xbox and can barley play a min on that planet without it crashing

The game runs like GARBAGE on Series X, even optimized for performance... HG needs to stop trying to get onto every platform and FIX THE EXISTING GAME on existing platforms. There is an obvious problem loading assets, the game runs ok for the first 20min, then gets worse and worse to the point of being unplayable by an hour. This is well beyond a few bugs... I think this might be the last straw for me, I'm so sick of the game being unplayable on the most powerful console available, I specifically purchased a Series X to get improvements over the Xbox One. Now there is no noticeable difference except maybe from 720p to 1080p, the stuttering, terrain and assests not loading, NPCs teleporting... a small increase in resolution is NOT enough to justify the upgrade. Sorry for the rant 😅

I’m on Xbox and it keeps crashing on me on the start of phase 5, the planet is covered in black smoke and people won’t stop building bases all over the planet how am I suppose to get this done if it keeps crashing because it can’t support the giant titan worm jumping through the ground plus the black smoke storm plus all the unnecessary player bases?? So annoyed with it. It is unplayable I can’t progress at all because it has to be a that stupid planet for everyone and it’s overloaded

I’m hoping they will fix it before the expedition is over because even if you start a new game you would still have to go to the same planet like everyone for the quest if I’m understanding it correctly, and it’s very stupid for them to make it the same planets that everyone has to go to instead of making them random corrupt planets, way to many bases and the planet is so visually overloaded

Yeah, my computer used to run this game beautifully; it hasn’t since recent updates. Settlements lag my computer to death, and normal exploration isnt much better I just don’t play anymore.

Very strange because I run it very well on a PC that is 7 years old with a 1650ti card and 16 gig of ram, perhaps its a case of using an over egged PC, mind you all my settings are on enhanced which suits me fine!! and of course Multi player turned off!!

It has gptten sp bad that even on a PS5, EVERY time I log out of the server or single player game the game crashes back to the Playstation main menu. 8 years of consistent bugs and now the company wants us to pay for the "Next gen" upgrade cause they realize just how badly written the code was on UE4

I play on Xbox. I've turned off multiplayer and that helped me a lot. My game has been crashing every hour or two. That's normal for NMS though.

It's on PlayStation now. My issue is phase 5 having that community objective. It is absolutely the worst and no one can complete it. I have 4 more objectives and I am done with it. It's fun other than that.

Makes me wonder if SOME of the bugs are intentional, things like the occasional crash, jittery gameplay, poor fps sometimes, etc. I played the expedition with multiplayer OFF sure, but I never really experienced any bugs. That I can recall at least. AND on top of that the atlas simulation IS shutting down, so SOME of the bugs being intentional makes sense, and they wouldn't want to fix any for that reason also. Maybe. Possibly? Okay probably not, BUT at least it is for the most part playable. Unlike another certain space game I know of. COUGH Star Citizen COUGH In almost if not EVERY single video I've seen featured around that game there has been either mention of, or just straight up a bug in the video itself. So while I FULLY understand constant crashing, low fps, and general pains in the brains bugs and other issues, at least we have a game that we can play semi-decently. (Most of the time anyway)

I am playing on PCVR since early 2022 and have no crashes, except for the one cancelling a mission (e.g. ship salvage) while in space. In VR i have the issue that while playing a dark windy sound suddenly appears out of nowhere and does not go away until i restart the save. That issue also occured on the last expedition and HG obviously haven't fixed it yet. Having played the expeditions since early 2022 i have to say that the new Singularity Expedition is the weakest and most boring of them all. And in addition to this you simply can't finish it due to a community mission to be done first. That is really annoying and unsatisfying. Apart from this Multiplayer is still my biggest issue with this game. It does work to a certain degree but there are tons of bugs, which have not been fixed for years now. The same applies to the racing tracks. They simply don't work since the NEXT update i guess. Nevertheless, the game is still a blast to play in VR and it's all worth the price.
