strange how folklore and tales, how witchcraft and the spiritual can sometimes be a solid tool into empowering us against bullying...if we understand where to look and how to develop stories into craft and life.
This video gets born by a very personal account that beautifully leads into how crow and ravens, their help in my craft, have helped my growth as an individual and a witch. There is also a great deal of local folklore on crows and ravens in this video and how medicine people made use of the support of these powerful allies. A day ago, I was feeding Ravens bread, and my car was almost surrounded by them. Of course they wanted to eat, but being surrounded by them uplifted my spirit. I love Ravens! 🖤 🐦‍⬛

Once I found a black raven feather in the rolling Surrey Hills in England. It spoke to me so brought it with me as a gift to my altar. Some days later I came across a crow in Richmond Park who kept pretty close nearby. Waiting for me to share a snack. I left some and saw him waiting patiently to take it. Magnificent creatures.

I love this video Freyia, so beautifully crafted! Crows have followed, surrounded and watched me and my family all of our lives. The Crows are quite literally family and have taken up to follow wherever I move. One of my Children's names is Raven. It came from the Ancestors. The gifts and magick of Crow are very rare and special as is their companionship, as they only Trust those they deem worthy. If they accept you, you are one of the flock. Their gifts are many and they will reward those that earn them. They are the watchers of the deep wood and the guardian to the astral, underworld, sentinel of consciousness and the deepest esoteric secrets. I especially enjoyed the allusion to "The Crow" at the end, that quote literally hangs on my wall. Husband was my "Crow man" and one of the connections that was very special when we met. The layering of "Crow" as medicine and guide in my life is infinite and eternal. I really enjoyed the comment as well as to how Crow will have its own sacred and altar space in the home, yes again! Thank you for another gem; this was a nice surprise today!

Yesterday I was on the roof of my house, cleaning the gutters at the same time having a rather long conversation with some of the crows that hang out in the trees around my house. Crows, Ravens, and a huge Red Tail Hawk are my neighbors.

I love birds. I grew up in the woods so learned quite early to respect the plants and animals... my mother and father were such stalwart consrrvationists and all of our family learned to be respectful. I had murders of crows and ravens always around. They would look at us as we would often be playing with items that they loved to put into their nests. Bits of tinfoil and shiny pennies. My mother said the reflection would scare off or deter other predators with a quick flash or sparkle to keep their young safe. She told us to watch how the crows perched together and who led in flight. The ravens were not as numerous bit oh so beautiful! To find a Ravenn feather meant you were blessed by Spirit and had ancestors walking beside you so never be afraid as you were protected . The colors in a ravens fe as ther looked like a nesmerizingvmixvof b purples and blood reds so dark it often made me think of a dark rainbow! Just so beautiful!

Freyia this video touched me so deeply 😭 I live in Australia and we have mostly ravens, only two species of crows who don't inhabit anywhere near me.. there are a family of ravens who live in the trees outside my workplace (I work with animals as a veterinary nurse in an emergency room) and this last 6 months, these ravens have been leaving feathers for me to find. When I find them, I feel the same.. the clouds clearing and a clear signal for me that they see me and that I'm okay and I receive a message from them with each feather find. A few weeks ago, I was in a state of despair and before I started my shift, I walked to stand under the ravens to help ground me before I began... I looked down and saw a perfectly clean skull 😭 it hadn't been there before and it was from a raven who had passed long ago as all of the black was gone from the beak but I just knew it was left for me by them.. and had such a profound shock. I would never have imagined to ever find a skull, I felt so blessed with finding feathers but a skull? I couldn't believe it. I had never felt so seen, and so worthy. They are my deepest animal companions and I just finished having a beautiful two headed raven tattoo being made across my back. Thank you for this video Freyia I am so moved and I love ravens so much and Im so glad you shared your beautiful experiences with them here. ❤️

I enjoy all your videos but this one hit my heart and soul especially hard in a good way. I have loved and honored the Ravens for many years. Our property in the woods has been surrounded by families of Ravens for a very long time. We have built a relationship with them where they will fly over the house and say hello. They swoop down low and wave their wings. It’s so cool. Some of them are very large. They have even perched above our door. That was special. I wear a necklace of a Raven and one with a Wolf. Even here in the Netherlands, raven and wolf finally are back again. Wolfs leave their footprints, raven nocks it's call, chasing crows from their nest site. Here, wolfs and raven meet again after a century: the raven seeks out the wolf as they always have, forging allies. Loners seeking out loners, supporting each other in the hunt, in the quest for life and death. There are no better teachers fir lonely, wandering souls. Hi Frieya, I want tell you of something I saw, not in a vision but right next to me, a glimpse of something, a man, 3 foot tall, quite wide for his size, with a beard, a bit grumpy looking, but what stood out was his coat, a big bushy coat made of stinging nettle leaves. As soon as i saw him he was gone. Do you know what he was ? I have to say again tho, to emphasis, the coat was the amazing thing. Thanks, Simon.
