Had Cyberknife 3 times on lung and I really appreciated seeing this, I fully understand now the treatment I went through.

I just got through with the last of my 5 treatments for Prostate cancer using this. I sure hope it worked. I wont know for about 3 to 4 months when Ill be able to take another PSA test. Fingers crossed.

I'm sure it costs 10 million dollars. A regular MRI costs more than 1 million

And that without taking into account cost of staff, training, the machine program, the bunker it's placed in and the maintenance cost. Plus, it's not necessary to use a Cyberknife for most tumors, a regular Linac is sufficient.

Isn't the beam going out on the other side of the body? I mean, if a tumor, for example, is 5 cm below the surface. How do you control the beam to only treat the tumor and not affect the healthy tissue? I imagine the beam like a laser that "shoots" through something that won't be stopped. Or is this just done by applying the beam from various angles at low doses and trying to kind of overlap at the tumor to get a higher dose, in summary?
