I currently am dealing with a mold problem in the house. I’ve noticed memory issues, anxiety has been up, sneezing, congestion, runny nose, mucus, similar to allergy symptoms or a cold but over the counter medication doesn’t help. Mold is terrible. Evil little devils.

Most over the counter medicine does nothing but alleviate symptoms. You must get rid of the mold. I was hospitalized. After 2 weeks in the hospital, I was fortunate enough that my brother took me in for over a month. No way I was able to go back where I was living. Try herbal medicines. Garlic in tea helps a lot. Nasty but helps.

Twice I've been exposed to black mold. 1st time for maybe a couple of weeks. I was feeling bad with weight loss. 2nd time, for about 2 months before I realized. I felt brain fog and depressed. I couldn't keep a normal schedule. Respiratory issues, then to top it off I caught pneumonia. I felt like I wanted to die. Thank GOD for doctors but they are making it seem like black mold had nothing to do with it. Black mold had everything to do with it. Especially with respiratory and suppression of my immune system.

This woman has obviously never been exposed to mold or she wouldn’t say it’s not dangerous. Type of mold, length of exposure and mold symptoms you can google are more accurate.

I have been experiencing dizziness since February 9, 2023. Doctors can't figure out what the problem is. However, I did go to an allergist lady and the tests said I have an allergy to mold. I just took some pictures of one of the vents, and I see this dark brown furry looking material around it. This may be the problem, but my family doesn't believe me. It's either that or the computers I work on. Blue light glasses didn't work. I'm wearing them now.

Vents could be collecting condensation, simple way to stop water from condensing on metal is to warm it up somehow. Removing paint could also help if mold is growing on the vent itself

I recently was exposed to black mold. I worked for a company who received shipping equipment and merchandise from South Korea. I been sick since November 2023 my first episode of this black mold. My symptoms are; headaches like brain freeze, coughing up blood, sneezing out blood with sinus drainage. Itchy throat, ears and depression. I saw my PC doctor who prescribed antibiotics and steroids. That works for small amounts of time. Just until the drugs leave my system. Two construction sites in Tennessee and Kentucky are in extreme danger of exposure. I still think this is a health concern. I suffer with kidney disease and 3x heart attack survivor. I also have diabetes neuropathy. The company didn't inform employees of this mold takeover until employees took sick in Kentucky. From November of 2023 until March of 2024 when they laid me off. When I started complaining about my health conditions. In 2020 I had COVID and was admitted in the hospital with pneumonia and it damaged my left lung. I'm still experiencing side effects from the exposure. What can I do now? Thanks, Tipton

Great and quick summary - worth watching. Interesting comment about the relative humidity setting recommendations. The 40-45% RH for mould could be a touch too dry since some more recent COVID related research suggests maintaining indoor relative humidity at ~50%RH. That way you get the reduction in humidity impact against mould and also against the coronavirus.

This exact same thing happened to me only 6-days after moving into a rental property. I developed a chronic cough and sneezed for months until the PNC Restoration company eliminated the existing toxic black mold. I work for a food production plant, and we have black mold in our drinking water. I'm not sure what to do about this, but superiors are not treating it with any sort of regard. (We aren't allowed to bring our own water in either.) I feel like I'm the only one who cares.

terrible video.A dehumidifier does not kill present mold and might make it worse drying out mold spores, spreading it throughout the house through the air. Please disregard these people and get a progressing to test your home. Go to a doctor familiar with mold to get tested. I was born immune compromised. Mold almost killed me. If i listened to these 2, not having had enough knowledge about mold, i'd be dead.

Was thinking the same thing. I’m currently recovering from black mold exposure. It’s been a six month process so far. I was somewhat shocked by how little doctors know about black mold and its affects. One emergency room lead doctor actually acknowledged that the medical profession as a whole knows little about black mold. I appreciated his honesty and mentioned that it makes sense that few doctors would know much about black mold symptoms, etc. since the symptoms subside by the time you get to a doctor. At least in my case, once I left the house with the mold and had a hour of breathing clean air, the symptoms would be gone. So doctor would check me out and find nothing wrong even though just an hour before I was lying on my floor gasping for air.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:5) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
