What I really love about the Cobra Kai show is that they stay true to the color theme until the end. So far, Daniel wore mostly blue and Johnny mostly red. In Daniel’s fight against Silver in the Season 5 finale, he wore a dark purple shirt. It resembles his fighting style so much in that scene. He combines elements of Miyagi-Do (Blue), Eagle Fang (Red) and Cobra Kai (Black). Such a nice detail throughout the show!

Very true, even though despite some of the Main Show Events had happened from Rivalries or Old Enemies which Miyagi would hate even though that he would stand up for what’s right he would be glad to see him where he has gone.

Daniel may have been arguably more reckless in S5 than ever But I still will not question that his heart was in the right place, to his credit he was even willing to stop going after Silver until those around him convinced him otherwise And as much as I like and sympathize with Terry Silver, Daniel defeating him was still poetic justice

I think it plays to the mindsets. They've changed their opinions and learned new things, but none of both have really changed their belief system of how the world works. Makes sense that the younger characters have learned and done that, but Daniel and Johnny came together to defeat another party, not with the openness of actually wanting to actually make a connection. They have learned that both are important and let the students choose their own ways, but they have not changed themselves. I hope the challenge of the outer world and the sekai taikai brings that out of them and actually see the change in both. Which being the final season makes sense its the end of their character arc. Just writing structure, although it has been repetitive, entertaining nonetheless

They are two different people with two different personality types. They will probably always butt heads from time to time. That doesn't mean they're incapable of respecting one another, and reaching a compromise. No different than how brothers sometimes have conflict, but the mutual respect (and love) is still present (at least if/when the relationship is a healthy one).

I like how they are doing that with Season with Daniel & Johnnys Dynamic, cause it will show how much by the End of this Show and where their Characters go after the all the Season Events from Cobra Kai’s Show, I’m glad they put in a lot of effort to knowing where Daniel & Johnny stand as Friends instead of being Enemies once again. Even though they kind off some that in Season 4, still they need to make sure that they are at their fullest where they are not going butt-heads once again.

Dude I love your videos as someone who trains in okinawan kenpo karate and other martial arts I’ve learned to adapt to styles that have karate in them but i love the character analysis of everything and every characters i wish u were in cobra kai lol keep makinf the content

One inconsistency I noticed, at the end of the fight against Johnny in the first karate kid, Johnny says "you're alright Lorusso" which is possibly the highest praise a bully can give. He also freakin hands Daniel the trophy. So how was the beef so bad in Cobra Kai, considering both are supposed to be much wiser??? Especially Daniel who had Miyagi as a mentor for most his life. That's one thing that doesn't add up.

Best character in the show and just in the series overall. No one can change my mind. He’s clearly a flawed person and makes some mistakes here and there. But he’s right for the most part and his arc is way better than the typical “bad to good” you see all the time.

Correction… that’s not a Muay Thai block. That’s actually a kata move in Japanese karate styles line shook. You can see that exactly knee/elbow smash in the Japanese film kurobi AKA Black Belt where there is a fight where a guy uses blocks only to beat a Japanese WW2 soldier as that’s where the fight coordinator got the idea from. As a Muay Thai practitioner a leg check blocks sideways attacks like round kicks. It’s not a catching technique like Daniel uses.

Another good thing, about cobra Kai is it points out, we all think we overcome our fears, until...we're face to face with them. For Daniel when Johnny brought back Cobra Kai, he started acting irrational not like himself. Then when he saw Chosen after visiting Okinawa Japan, it was like he was back there when chosen was a psycho wanting to kill Daniel. Of course when Daniel saw Terry Silver he looked like he could barely breathe. Also like Daniel was frozen with fear. Daniel didn't show fear, when he saw another tormentor from his past, Mike Barnes. Now it could just be, Daniel wasn't afraid of Mike Barnes bc he knew Chosen was around.

It is the drum technique. Silver would've known from Robby teaching the Cobra Kai students Miyagi-Do. Although it was only Kreese who was present at first when Robby was teaching these techniques, Kenny is shown during the All-Valley qualifiers demonstrating the Drum Technique (a student Silver specifically took under his wing), and it's very likely Silver would've observed Robby teaching these techniques.

By the way, the screaming eagle is a variant of the so called Yama Tsuki, an actual Karate technique. It means "Fist of the Mountain" and as you might guess, it involves striking the enemy with both of your fists at once. The version Daniel uses is a bit tweaked, as the original version involves turning your upper body and strike with the hand in a wider angle.
