There are a lot of men, and some women who hide behind religion to get into positions to take advantage of people who are hurting. The most egregious thing that can happen is to trust someone who you feel is a godly individual, and they take your love, and your admiration for God and use it to weaponize and hurt you. I am curious if Sean P Diddy has ever treated Jennifer Lopez the same way he treated Cassie and others. A few years back, CNN aired a special about the impact of the black church on the singleness of black women. This special really resonated with me because many black women I know are single and feeling lonely, holding onto the hope that the right man will come into their lives someday. I know a woman who has been single for over sixty years and attributes it to her religious beliefs. Another woman I know refuses to date because her pastor believes she should be married first. I have always believed that a pastor can say anything, but at the end of the day, he goes home to his wife, while the lonely woman goes home to an empty bed. We need to put a stop to this, or all women will end up feeling unfulfilled. It's just common sense that every person needs love and human touch. Why would anyone not want that? Wanting love and affection is not a crime, and it's not something for which someone would be punished. No one is going to hell for wanting love.
