the 'i wanna get better' video, the song 'dreams aren't random', now this short film: i have a slight feeling that jack antonoff really likes therapy.

I will not be seeing my therapist this week, this film will serve as my session. Thank you very much Jack Antonoff.

I love the use of film in this film. I don't know if that makes sense, but it feels like some films have lost the creativity and subtlety film can provide. Not this.

I feel like Bleachers will always be a milestone band for me. I saw them the first time in Buffalo NY in 2014 (I was 14 then), and my friend and I got lucky enough to stumble upon Jack walking through the grass before the show. He was the absolute sweetest, down to earth guy. When Gone Now arrived in 2017, I was graduating high school and on my way to college (could you get more coming-of-age than that?). Now, at 22, TTSOSN caught me right at the crux of my early 20’s. The music has grown with me and I’ll be forever grateful for the escape, excitement, experiences and solace this band has brought me 🤍

It was unapologetically quirky yet sweet. Which is also how I’d describe Jack Antonoff. Also, l loved the violin and cello in this version of How Dare You Want More 👏🏻😊

Love this video. It reminds me of Nate Ruess’ short film, “The Grand Romantic,” after his solo album, “Grand Romantic,” back in 2015. Jack, you’re mind is extraordinarily brilliant and creative for all of the music you write, as well as other projects such as this and “Dreams Aren’t Random” (which is both artistic and confessional). Can’t wait to see you live again :)
