MAN, I didn't even pay attention to that CB spin on the INT, he let it go before the CB spin and Waller didn't see him otherwise he would have tried to make sure it wasn't an INT, DAMN, great breakdown

Great analysis as always. I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan. The Raiders simply outplayed the Chiefs in every facet of this game. You can do a lot of great things when it's consistently 2nd and 3. They just looked really good. The team that played better won this game. The Raider were the better team Sunday. A big wake-up call for the Chiefs. Looking forward to some great games vs. the new and improved Raiders.

Nice post though I'm not calling it a rivalry yet. If the Raiders sweep the Chiefs this year it's definitely a rivalry. If they split these next 4 starting with this past Sunday then yes it's a rivalry again. Even when Marty was HC, I didn't consider them rivals as much as our nemeses.
@mikemorgan50154 жыл бұрын
@@autumnwind1216 It's been a rivalry for me as long as I can remember. Madden pacing the sidelines, Stabler evading sacks and converting on 3rd and impossible, Davidson spearing Len Dawson after he was down, Belitnikoff with a pound of stickum on his socks catching uncatchable balls, Casper always catching the go ahead TDs, Hendrix blindside crushing our receivers over the middle, Guy pinning us back inside the 5, Van Eeghen punching it in at the goal line, Tatum doing his best to decapitate whoever had the ball, Alzado being Alzado, the turf guy leaving the sprinklers on all Saturday night to neutralize our run game. All of them ruining my Sunday afternoons. Ah......Good times! Haha!

Fascinating stuff JT. The addition of the deep threat of Ruggs and Waller's emergence as a big time matchup problem at TE have really transformed this offense. Having Trent Brown back healthy at RT was big too. Spagnuolo will have to go back to the drawing board because these at not the same Raiders that they've owned so far during the Mahomes era.

I think on the TD throw to Aghlor the corner at the top of the screen was late to help out deep because he was worried about Waller running an out breaking route at 7:13 . Once he recognized Waller running the crossing route it was too late. Goose cooked.

At 5:55 and at 13:50 both huge passing touchdowns, the RB came up with critical blocks on blitzing linebacker. Not pretty blocks, mind you, but he was in the right spot blocking the free runner, and it bought the time needed for Carr to make the big throw.
@aaronmartinez3774 жыл бұрын
At 18:46 you say, " for some reason, the safety is outside working this way"...well the way he was working was towards Ruggs side. That's my guess for the reason renfrow was so wide open on that 3rd and forever play. I think the safety was cheating towards Ruggs side and guarding against the long ball. IDK for sure, but that's my guess and it sure looks like it to me. The Ruggs effect is real

The thing that interests me about this Chiefs / Raiders rivalry is that; both of the HC's have been a similar situation before: When Andy Reid was the HC of the Eagles and Gruden was HC of the Buccaneers. Gruden may have lost to Reid before but has beaten Reid too. There's a slight chance that Gruden may do it again on a big stage. The most notable of this is the 2002-03 NFC Championship Game, where Gruden's Bucs upset the Eagles at home in the last game to be played at Veterans Stadium.

Think the int was KC expecting those crossers to be the gameplan as the Raiders have done in the past. While it was over 20 yards in the air, it wasn't nearly as deep in the zone as 3 of the 4 huge plays he made in this 1, 1st to Agholor, 2nd to Ruggs & finally to Renfrow on 3rd & 18 for 42.

@@justinharris2272 I was vouching for him the whole time making excuses like “it’s the scheme” “his wrs don’t get open” then I saw firsthand when I went to the Titans game last year that none of those are true. He was just gun shy for whatever reason. He was NOT tryna sit in the pocket and let the play develop. Although getting rid of the ball quick is mostly a good thing, it takes away from big plays cuz they need more time to develop. I can tell he’s been watching a lot of film cuz teams are starting to crash down on underneath shit on us and he took advantage of that. The Chiefs must’ve forgot that we had Ruggs or something cuz they weren’t trippin off our deep shots. But now they see that won’t work cuz DC ain’t scared no more. Our offense is wide open now. We can do whatever we want and I expect DC to be in MVP convo all year. If our defense continues to improve, take the ball away enough, make timely stops and keep Eric Harris on the sidelines, we’re a super bowl contender
