This is small, but I cut her a ton of slack when she plopped the “lettuce” (really a cabbage) into her cart. They didn’t delve into it much on the show, but she is extremely vision-impaired. I made note of this because a few years ago I lost much of my eyesight, and I have done very similar things in the grocery store. I know full well the difference between a zucchini and a cucumber, but my vision deficit can cause me to make really stupid errors (so embarrassing!).

Simply the best Not all vision deficits are equal. My injury caused me to lose all vision in my left eye and have huge blind spots in my right eye. It is like looking through a hollowed-out pen; I can only see a very small bit and I have to be looking directly at it. As a result, I am here typing on a tiny phone slowly, but just fine, but I ansolutely can no longer drive, for example (if I am looking straight ahead at the road, I cannot see a pedestrian on the side of the road). The vision I retained is still very good! It is just the blind spots that create my deficit. Amy may be similar. I honestly don’t know because the show devoted exactly four seconds to explaining her vision.

She laughs and admits that she doesn't really know what she's doing, and proceeds to put the cabbage back to get the right thing this time. I'm not overweight, but when I started working out for mental health purposes, that's when it became a routine integrated aspect of my life. Previously I did it to look good, and always dropped it. But when I did it out of necessity, if I didn't exercise my anxiety and depression were worse - I was unable to cope with basic things - the exercise made me the person I knew I was at the core. Calm, cool and relaxed. The added body is great, but eating well and exercising becoming a thing of self care, respect and appreciation changed my world. It was no longer obligation or something to please others or feed my ego, it was purely to give me peace.

These videos are so clean cut and smart, I appreciate the effort put in when most people would just do one take and make it sloppy whilst you make it clear cut and concise

"this is why you hear people say its not a diet its a lifestyle because no one can engage in something they hate forever, you must like the food you're eating and the exercises you're doing to stick with them long enough to get healthy." Best explanation I've ever heard, now I cant hear this the same way. Thank you for such insightful content!

I can definitely attest to the fact that internalizing a goal like this does so much to help you achieve it. I'm trans (ftm). Once I learned that the only way I was going to lose my curves and look more masculine - even with T - was to lose weight, that was the moment I started taking it seriously. I've been really seriously working at changing my habits for the first time, and I'm already seeing results

This!!! I related to Amy so hard. Recovering from an eating disorder was so hard when I wanted to be skinny more than I wanted to be healthy. I think the biggest factor in my recovery is imagining when I raise children of my own, I don’t want them to see those behaviors and adopt them. Motivation is more than self discipline, it’s inspiration and hope.

I've been gaining and losing the same 55-66 lb since my teens. I have gained about 55 lb since I last put the weight off about 3 years ago. Sometimes I wanna give up and just not try to lose the weight again. Amy motivates me to get it off again. I love hiking in summervacation and when I'm allowed to go abroad again I wanna be able to still go to the top of a mountain! Thank you Amy!!

She has the learning mentality of a baby, while Tammy has one of a child. Babies are open to everything, learning and exploring along the way, not afraid to make mistake. Children think they know everything and give up easily once something gets hard.
