Even I learnt c programming in first semester of engineering.. I was not knowing anything about it.. later we get adjusted to it If you want to be placed in College take CSE.. Core companies will not come for college At last you should go to IT company only. Even if you take Electronics you will end up in a IT company If you take CSE it will be easy during placements So think before joining.... Join college which has good placements

I'm from ECE Dept final year student ECE ali mainly baro subjects Analog , Digital , Communication, integrated Circuits, Signals ,Systems , Microcontroller and processors, matte Networks ECE ali 2nd is the toughest and the main subjects for over all Engineering ECE is 60 percentage more electronics, 25 percentage communication and remaining 15 percentage is programming Programming in the sense not C,Cpp or python Mainly you will learn matlab, verilog ,VHDL ,embedded C programming and processor level programming Placements in ECE is less for Core Companies as the Skills required are not apt in VTU syllabus for ECE engineering But most of the ECE students gets placed in Software companies because of hardwork in doing courses on programming language from 1st years itself
