I kind of envy that you have such a strong motivation to travel. I traveled so many countries for a long time but I got sick of being "a tourist" everywhere I go. Finally I decided to stay in one country longer and learn the culture and the language to have a connection with the people in the country, I'm so happy with my decision. My question is do you feel lonely or isolated when you travel and if so how do you deal with it?

@@YolandaKomoll yes, I met so many new people, including locals or fellow travelers. Sure I had a good time with them but it amplified my loneliness to be honest, I never had one who can understands me and cares about me, for locals I was always a "foreign" friend, for fellow travelers, I was always a "random" companion. After separating, very unlikely to continue to contact or meet each other again. Sure it depends on how you travel and your personality but like if you're hopping around many countries or cities, it's difficult to have a true friend or a partner who you can truly open yourself with.

That’s so awesome that your aunt took on that road trip to all of those national parks. We did something similar with our kids this past summer. We visited 15 national parks out west in 30 days. It was intense but fun. Sounds like you and your cousin and aunt went faster than we did. I think it’s moments like that that really impress upon a child what this world has to offer.
