I'm a middle-aged, short, bald, male career coder. I think super models have very different life experiences from mine. I'd like to try a modeling boot camp, then start my own modeling academy to empower middle-aged, short, bald men to become leaders in modeling.

The level of sexism and downright disrespect in the comment section is the reason we need more representation in tech.

I admire her curiosity and enthusiasm. She seems really smart too, but I wonder what she meant when she kept saying 'build something'. What is being built by people who take a week long course on coding, having never written any code before? What could that person realistically do after 6 or 8 months of learning?
@onee5 жыл бұрын
I don't know Ruby. But with HTML and CSS you can build websites. And yes, you can really learn it in a very short period. And when you get stuck you Google the answer. HTML and CSS aren't considered coding though. Coding IMHO is a lot more difficult, because it's a lot broader.

You can learn quite a bit in even a week while still understanding what your actually writing. Coding isn't just coding something from scratch

This comment section is basically men saying “oh, so you WOMAN think you can do that, prove it” Why do women always need to prove, prove, prove… specially if she’s pretty? I’m in sciences too and If a guy says “oh I know this and that” nobody asks anything to confirm it. I hate this stupid misogynistic environment that science is.

You have to learn Python nowadays, it's the language for the future, not HTML 😂.

Lmao she took a bootcamp for a week and learned how to code? Sounds to me like she got overwhelmed and quit but thats okay, coding isn't for everyone. Especially the pace of a bootcamp

Good to be exposed to it when you're young. Hard to pick up coding cold when you're older.

Trying to wrap my head around the logic of the upload order on this channel. Seems kinda random. Would be nice if the channel followed the podcast feed. Loving the video of the face to face interviews.

Aaliyan The KZbinr I don't need proof. Little bit of critical thinking is enough. I know what it takes to be a good programmer. You just don't become one overnight. I also know that this girl is a life long model. She is using her looks to entice girls into this area. It's a good business idea and her right although it's a bit misleading to claim anything other than she is a novice. Alright, maybe a step above novice.

These celebrities, they really know how to sell themselves and talk big. She and a bunch of her super elite friends. That's how you get ahead in life.

the only reason companies want more woman in a code to decrease the average salaries of engineers.
@a.k.73414 жыл бұрын
That's not true. Maybe people just want to make good money and should be able to try new things.
@alexv9124 жыл бұрын
that will not happen. because the poeple they want is high quality engineers which aren't many no matter what gender would come into more. plus the speed of requesting good programmers is getting higher.
